206 Tours invites you to join us on a pilgrimage to St. John Paul II’s beloved homeland, Poland.
On this journey, we follow in the footsteps of three great Polish saints - St. John Paul, St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Faustina, the Apostle of Divine Mercy - as we embrace the culture of the Polish people. We entrust our pilgrims and journeys to the maternal protection of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
As you make your way to Poland, Land of Kings, Saints, and Divine Mercy, walk in the footsteps of Saint John Paul II! From where he was born and baptized, to where he became a Priest - Bishop - Cardinal, and where he spent his time visiting as Pope. Take in the Shrine of Divine Mercy (in Lagiewniki) and be drawn closer to the life of St. Faustina and her Divine Mercy message. One of the most obvious works of mercy, and perhaps the most difficult to put into practice, is to forgive others. This pilgrimage will teach, and allow you, to be able to forgive.
In June 2019 Pope Francis declared 2020 the Jubilee Year for Air travelers and Pilgrims to Shrine of Loreto. Our Lady of Loreto was named the patron saint of aviation and aviators by Pope Benedict XV in 1920. The Jubilee Year will start on December 8, 2019, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and conclude on December 10th, 2021 the feast of Our Lady of Loreto. According to pious tradition, Mary’s house in Nazareth was flown by angels to Loreto, Italy in 1294, after a stop in Croatia, what was then Yugoslavia. This miracle is often referred to as “the Miracle of the Holy House of Loreto”.
