Itinerary
Day 1 | Friday, February 26: Depart for Medjugorje
Make your way to your local airport to board your overnight flight. Meals will be served on board.
Day 2 | Saturday, February 27: Arrive in Medjugorje
Upon arrival in Europe, connect to your short flight into Dubrovnik, Split, or Sarajevo. After collecting your luggage, continue to the arrivals hall where you will be greeted by your tour guide or driver. From there, you will transfer on a 2.5-hour drive to the village of Medjugorje. Enjoy dinner before retiring for the evening.
Days 3 - 8 | Sunday - Friday, February 28 - March 5: Experiencing Medjugorje
During your stay in Medjugorje, you will share in the spiritual journey of pilgrims from around the world, guided by a local escort throughout. Each morning begins with English-speaking Mass at St. James Church at 10:00 AM, followed by a blessing of religious articles. You will climb Apparition Hill, where Our Lady first appeared to the visionaries, praying the Rosary along the way and pausing at bronze reliefs depicting each mystery. You will also climb Mt. Krizevac, stopping to pray the Stations of the Cross before venerating the large cross built in 1933.
Each evening at 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM (depending on daylight savings), you will join the villagers in praying the Rosary as all await the apparition of Our Lady to the visionaries. Following the apparition, you may remain at St. James Church for the Croatian Mass and a Blessing of the Sick. Eucharistic Adoration will also be a central part of your pilgrimage. Outdoor Adoration is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with Veneration of the Cross on Fridays inside the church, and additional Adoration opportunities in the Chapel. This experience of prayer is among the most profound moments in Medjugorje.
Other highlights include visiting the Community of Cenacolo, where young men and women share powerful testimonies of conversion and healing, as well as time for prayer at the bronze statue of the Risen Christ, which miraculously seeps droplets of water from Christ’s knee. Excursions will take you to Tihaljina, to the Immaculate Conception Parish Church with the beloved Our Lady of Grace statue, where your group will celebrate a private Mass, and to Široki Brijeg, home of the Franciscan friary where 30 friars were martyred in 1945.
Day 9 | Saturday, March 6: Medjugorje – Home
After an early breakfast and heartfelt farewells, you will depart by motor coach for Dubrovnik, Split, or Sarajevo Airport to board your return flight(s) home.
