Itinerary
Day 1 | Wednesday, July 8: Depart for Cologne or Frankfurt
Make your way to your local airport to board your overnight flight(s). Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
Day 2 | Thursday, July 9: Arrive Cologne or Frankfurt and continue to Bamberg
• Arrive at Cologne or Frankfurt airport where your tour escort warmly welcomes you.
• Board the motorcoach and transfer to Bamberg.
• Time permitting, attend a Mass at a local church to begin your spiritual journey.
• Dinner and overnight in Bamberg.
Day 3 | Friday, July 10: Bamberg
• Breakfast at your hotel.
• Attend Mass at Bamberg Cathedral.
• Visit the Bamberg Cathedral, focusing on the tomb of Emperor Henry II, a central figure of this pilgrimage.
• Tour the Monastery of Michelsberg, founded by Henry II himself, reflecting the deep religious roots and monastic tradition of the region*.
• Dinner and overnight in Bamberg.
The Monastery of Michelsberg is currently closed for maintenance and restoration work. It is expected to reopen by 2026; however, if it does not, the itinerary may be subject to change.
Day 4 | Saturday, July 11: Bamberg

• Attend Mass to reflect and prepare for the pilgrimage ahead.
• Free time to explore Bamberg’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, famed for its unique medieval and baroque architecture.

Day 6 | Monday, July 13: Bamberg - Munich, stop in Lauingen

• After breakfast, depart for Lauingen.
• Enjoy a local guided tour of Lauingen, exploring sites connected to St. Albert’s early life, including the church and museum dedicated to his legacy.
• Take some free time to wander the town’s peaceful streets before continuing your journey.

Day 7 | Tuesday, July 14: In Munich
• Begin with breakfast at your hotel.
• Attend Mass at the iconic Frauenkirche or the historic St. Peter’s Church.
• Join a guided city tour, visiting landmarks like Marienplatz, the vibrant heart of Munich, and the Frauenkirche with its striking twin towers.
• Take a trip to Benediktbeuern Abbey, a historic Benedictine monastery where St. Albert the Great taught briefly. Experience the serene atmosphere, Baroque architecture, and the abbey’s rich spiritual heritage.
• Return to Munich for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 | Wednesday, July 15: Day trip to Regensburg from Munich
• After breakfast travel to Regensburg.
• Attend Mass in Regensburg.
• Embark on a guided tour of Regensburg’s stunning St. Peter’s Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture and a significant pilgrimage site related to Emperor Henry II.
• Free time to wander through the medieval Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site with well-preserved Roman walls, the famous Stone Bridge, and charming historic squares.
• Return to Munich in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 | Thursday, July 16: Day trip to Salzburg from Munich
• Following breakfast transfer for Salzburg.

• Enjoy a guided tour of Mirabell Gardens, Mozartplatz, Getreidegasse, Residenzplatz, and St. Peter’s Abbey.
