Itinerary

Day 1: Depart to Milwaukee - Basilica of St. Josaphat

You will board a flight for the Milwaukee International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and taken to the Milwaukee Public Market for lunch on your own. This Market is an Industrial-chic marketplace offering local baked goods, cheese, meats, produce & all kinds of choices for lunch. It will be a fun introduction to the state of Wisconsin. From there we will go to St. Josaphat’s Basilica for a private Mass and a tour. This hands down is one of the most beautiful churches in Milwaukee. The Basilica of St. Josaphat is a ministry of the Conventual Franciscans on the South Side of Milwaukee in Historic Lincoln Village. The Basilica is a Franciscan center for prayer and spirituality, inspiration and beauty. It is home to a vibrant Roman Catholic parish and remains a testament to the faith of the Polish immigrants that created it. In 1929, St. Josaphat Church was named the third basilica in the United States. It is as close as we get to a European Cathedral. It is the largest church in Milwaukee, with a seating capacity of over 1,000 on the main floor, hundreds more can be accommodated in the galleries. From there you will be taken to your hotel to relax and freshen up before our group welcome dinner tonight onsite at our hotel. Overnight Milwaukee.

Day 2: Holy Hill – St. Joseph National Shrine

After breakfast today at our hotel, you will be taken to the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians – better known as Holy Hill. Located on 435 acres of glorious scenery on the highest elevation in Southeastern Wisconsin, Holy Hill is a destination for those looking to celebrate their faith in a sacred place of peace, beauty and prayer. Under the care of the Discalced Carmelite Friars of Holy Hill, The Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians is open to the public and draws hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and sightseers annually. Visitors can attend daily Catholic Masses of worship, enjoy the scenic views and walk the life-sized Stations of the Cross in a serene setting. You will be amazed at the large gift store. We will attend Mass and have a tour. You will also have time to spend time in prayer and go to Confession if you wish. For lunch, your guide will give you a menu from a local gourmet sandwich shop to select from. We will eat our catered lunch in one of the rooms onsite. This afternoon we will depart for Green Bay, Wisconsin. We will first stop at the National Shrine of St. Joseph in DePere. This small, simple and very quiet shrine is representative of St. Joseph as being a quiet, humble saint. This shrine is the only one in the United States with a “papal-crowned” statue of St. Joseph and it is one of only 17 in the world. From there we will stop for dinner at Hagemeister Park! Hagemeister Park was the first home of the Green Bay Packers and also the preferred gathering spot for the people of Green Bay early in the 20th Century. Enjoy a piece of Green Bay’s history while you dine on some local favorites. Overnight Green Bay.

Day 3: Our Lady of Champion (Our Lady of Good Help)

After breakfast at our hotel we will depart for Our Lady of Champion. Formerly known as Our Lady of Good Help. Find refuge and spiritual healing on the peaceful, sacred grounds where the Blessed Mother appeared to Adele Brise in 1859. This shrine is the only approved Marian apparition site in the United States. The cause for canonization for Adele has just opened up so we will be sure to pay a visit to her tomb outside on the right side of the shrine. We will have Mass and time to pray in the crypt where our Blessed Mother appeared. You will have lunch onsite. You will have the opportunity to go to confession with one of the Fathers of Mercy if you choose. This afternoon we will depart for LaCrosse. Group dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Day 4: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe (Audience with His Eminence, Cardinal Burke)

Today after breakfast we will journey just a short distance to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The shrine is a place of ceaseless prayer for the welfare of God’s children, especially those in most need. The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, faithful to the message of the Blessed Virgin Mary through her appearances on the American continent in 1531. We will have Mass, a tour, time to shop and pray in many of the outdoor locations. Lunch will be on your own in the gorgeous cafe. You will also have a private audience with Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke – the founder of this beautiful shrine. After a day you will remember forever, you will head back to your hotel to freshen up before our group dinner at a favorite local restaurant. Overnight LaCrosse.

Day 5: Milwaukee Airport - Return Home!

Today your guide will have taken your order for breakfast. After Mass at our hotel, you will have time to eat breakfast. We will then depart for the Milwaukee International Airport where we will say our goodbyes after a beautiful week dedicated to our Blessed Mother.

About your trip

Wisconsin’s Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help is the only Marian Apparition site currently official recognized by the Vatican in the whole United States. In 1859 Our Lady appeared in Champion to Adele Brise. Our Lady asked Adele to teach religion to children, so her father built a Chapel for her catechism classes. In 1971 a fire spread across Green Bay, and the resident spent the night walking around the chapel grounds, carrying a statue of Mary, and praying the Rosary. The Chapel was unharmed and the historic procession is reenacted annually. Green Bay’s Catholic sites are a unique place for a pilgrimage, including the Holy Hill, St. Norbert College and Abbey, and St. Xavier Cathedral.
