Help Our Tour Guides in the Holy Land
As the war continues to rage on, 206 Tours and all Tour Operators have ceased operating Pilgrimages to the Holy Land. How long? We don’t know. What we do know is that our Christian Guides (Catholic and Orthodox) are left behind, not knowing how they will support their families.  What makes this especially difficult is that this war is taking place not long after they suffered from 2 ½ years of no work due to COVID.

Christians make up only 1.5% of the Holy Land’s population, and that includes all Christian denominations. Pilgrimages have long been the means of keeping Christians in this region going. They are the “living stones” in these sacred places.  This war is between Muslim and Jews, and they both have huge numbers supporting them and cheering them on. Who, if anyone out there, is thinking about our Christian Brothers and Sisters? Whether you might have had a connection with them while on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land or not, consider offering a prayer or a donation. They feel most alive when groups of pilgrims are there in person, and they take such pride in sharing the sites where Jesus walked. It would bring them great joy to know that they are not forgotten.

They have served us and have been His instruments in changing our lives. Now it’s time for us to help change theirs. Whether $10 or $10,000, any amount you can give will be incredibly appreciated and 100% of the money will be given directly to guides.

You may indicate the name of the Holy Land guide you would like your gift to be sent to in the notes section of your online donation. If you do not remember their name, you can simply put “My Guide”, otherwise, your gift will be divided between the 27 guides who have served on 206 Tours Pilgrimages since last year.

Please note that 206 Tours is not a 501©3 / non-profit, and you may not be able to write off this donation. We have looked at partnering with a non-profit, but realized that there would be unknown costs involved, as well as some uncertainties of money delivery, so we have decided to proceed in this way.
