Special Wedding Arrangements
Dear Newlyweds and Soon-to-be-Married Couples
Have you given any thought beyond your Wedding Day? How you could commemorate your union in such a sacred way
that you will talk about for Anniversaries to come? There are “Special” arrangements available to you that only the
Catholic Church can offer – and we can help arrange them for you!
Receive a Papal Blessing from the Holy Father in Rome:
During the General Audiences in Vatican City, you will be treated like First-Class Passengers. Not only do you get to stand in the front row (or to the side) of the Holy Father, but he normally stops to greet all the new couples at the end!
Past couples have said the following:
“We were very close to him, more than we expected. He gave us his blessing..it was very exciting.”
“He greeted all the newly married couples and when he was in front of us, he said: God bless you!”
What is required of you:
- To qualify as a newlywed couple (Sposi Novelli), you must be married within two (2) months of the Audience.
- You must carry with you a copy of the Sacramental Marriage Certificate signed by your Priest.
- Grooms must wear their Tuxedos, and Bride’s must wear their Wedding Dress.
- American pilgrims must request their tickets through the Pontifical North American College (NAC) Office in Rome, one (1) month before the date of the Audience you wish to attend. Unfortunately, if you contact the office less than two (2) weeks before the date of the Audience, they will not be able to submit a request for you, but they can add you to a wait list.
- You will need to email the NAC Office the following information:
- Title and full name of the Groomt
- Title and full name (as married) of the Bride
- Your email address
- Your full mailing address in the U.S.
- Date of marriage
- Name and location of the church in which you were/will be married
- Name of the priest/deacon presiding at the wedding
- Date of the Wednesday General Audience you wish to attend
- Please send the email with these details to: visitorsoffice@pnac.org It may take up to two (2) weeks to hear back. If you have not heard back after two (2) weeks, see if the response possibly went to your junk mail. If it is not there, the NAC Office recommends you contact them again using another email address, since their email address is sometimes rejected by some email servers.
- You will receive a confirmation by email and then can pick up your tickets at the NAC Office on Via dell Umilta, 30 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Tuesday afternoon before the Audience. They are unable to email/fax/scan/mail tickets.
