I had my very first experience in 31 years of priesthood to exercise my priestly ministry to a group of pilgrims on a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico City. It was a remarkable and memorable experience spending six days with the pilgrim group as a spiritual mentor, to witness the zealous faith of millions of other pilgrims, and to be enriched by the spiritual vitality of the pilgrimage.
