Close to Jerusalem’s old city and the holy sites, The Olive Tree Hotel, located in Jerusalem’s American Colony neighborhood, offers warm and welcoming first class accommodations. The newly renovated hotel was built around an ancient olive tree that legend has it provided shade for caravans of pilgrims just before entering the holy city. They say that to this very day, when you relax in the hotel’s Olive Tree Garden, you can still hear the strains of King David’s harp serenading pilgrims, even while you are using the latest internet technology which is installed throughout the hotel.

Pool & Sports Center

All Olive Tree Hotel guests have free and unlimited access to the Hebrew University’s Lerner Sport Center. The sport center is less than a five-minute drive from the hotel.

The facilities at the Lerner Sports Center include a large indoor swimming pool, a dry sauna, aerobic and spinning classes and a two-story exercise space with over 80 advanced fitness machines including treadmills, elliptical machines, bicycles, rowing machines and additional equipment for leg curls, abductors, leg presses, abdominal crunches and chest presses. The center is fully air-conditioned.

While exercising you can enjoy the beautiful view from the large glass windows and admire some of Jerusalem’s most picturesque domes and spires such as the Dome of the Rock, the Church of St. Savior and the Hurva Synagogue.

Located in the center of Jerusalem between east and west, the Olive Tree Hotel is perfectly situated to act as a venue for international organizations pursuing peace and cooperation. Adjacent to many churches such as the St. George Cathedral, the Notre Dame Pontifical Institute, the Nazarene Church and the Garden Tomb, the Olive Tree Hotel hosts many interdenominational meetings and acts as an interfaith center.

Because of its location in the American Colony Christian neighborhood, in proximity to both the Jewish and Muslim sections of Jerusalem, religious leaders of all faiths feel comfortable lecturing and participating in conventions and meetings held at the hotel. The hotel employs both Jewish and Arab staff and we are proud to work in an international atmosphere of tolerance and cooperation.

Jerusalem Hall

The Jerusalem Hall is tastefully decorated in the theme of the peace-loving olive tree and symbols of the ancient city of Jerusalem. The audience sits facing a glass wall, behind which, embedded in layers of soil, are large clay jars, pots and amphorae resembling an authentic archeological dig.

The hall is located on the -2P level can accommodate up to 240 people. The meeting hall is 19 meters long and 7.65 meters wide/62 ft. x 25 ft.; its area is 145 square meters/ 1560 square feet. Restrooms are conveniently located adjacent to the hall.

The Jerusalem Hall is an ideal venue for prayer meetings, lectures on the history and geography of the Holy City, special group programs, orientations and festivities.

Jericho Hall

The newly-opened Jericho Hall is located on the -3P level of the hotel. It can accommodate 150 people in theater style-seating and 42 people in U-shaped seating or boardroom style.

The Jericho Hall is 13.90 m. long and 9.20 m. wide (46 ft x 30 ft); its area is 127 square meters or 1367 square feet.

The Jericho Hall is perfect for guest lectures, prayer gatherings, group learning sessions and celebrations.

Qumran Hall

The newly-opened Qumran Hall is named after the site closest to the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. The intimate size of the Qumran Hall makes it an ideal setting to host gatherings for small numbers of people . The hall provides the perfect atmosphere for groups to conduct Bible study sessions as well as to share spiritual ideas.

The Qumran Hall is located on the -3P level of the hotel. It can accommodate 60 people in theater style-seating and 25 people in U-shaped seating or boardroom style. The hall is 6.98 meters long and 9.20 meters wide (23 ft x 30 ft); its area is 64 square meters/ 689 square feet.

Mount of Olives Hall

Located on the 8th floor, the Mount of Olives Hall is a perfect venue for intimate meetings of up to 40 people.

The Mount of Olives Hall is 6.30 m. long and 6.30 m. wide (21 ft x 21 ft); its area is 40 square meters or 430 square feet.

The Mount of Olives Hall is ideal for tour leader lectures, guest speakers, workshops, seminars, get-acquainted orientations, group devotions, farewell parties and daily briefings.

The Hall can be reserved as early as 6 a.m. for worship services and until late in the evening thus providing groups an opportunity to gather to hear guest speakers or to share their impressions and highlights of the day.

The Mount of Olives Hall has a lectern and can be equipped with different types of microphones such as standup, wireless or lavalier. FREE WIFI throughout the entire hotel, including all meeting and conference rooms.
