There are also a dedicated tax-free shopping where shopaholics can go to town on the excellent offers, wide range and many sought-after products. We can guarantee that you won’t be bored on board!
We’re proud that MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord are the first two cruise ferries in the world to be driven by green gas. The ships are powered by LNG (liquid natural gas), an innovative technology that is eco-friendly.

Enjoy a delicious meal
You can choose whether to enjoy a meal in our à la carte brasserie, our large buffet restaurant, perhaps a simpler bite in the cafeteria or at the café on the top deck.
For that extra bit of comfort during your crossing, we recommend that you book a seat in the Fjord Lounge. The lounge is perfect for anyone who wants to get the most out of their trip with Fjord Line, whether for just relaxing or getting some work done while travelling. The chairs are very comfortable and you can enjoy a fantastic sea view in a cosy atmosphere. You are also guaranteed a power supply for your smartphone, laptop or other equipment and can use the free Wi-Fi on board. Hot and cold drinks are included when you book a seat in the lounge, and if you get hungry you can order both lunch and dinner from a separate menu. The Fjord Lounge is open 7 am to 7 pm.
Sleep well and sweet dreams
We’ve made sure that MS Stavangerfjord can satisfy every need the modern traveller may have in terms of comfort and amenities. So, you can choose from no less than 20 cabin options. Comfort levels range from reclining seats to suites with fantastic views.
Let us entertain you
Chat to your fellow travellers, or perhaps enjoy watching your home team take on their rivals on our big screen TV in the sports bar which is tailored for the purpose. Behind the bar in the main Sea View Bar and Nightclub, our staff are ready to serve whatever you think best accompanies the entertainment on stage. You can rest assured that our entertainment has been carefully thought through, whether the audience is made up of grown-ups or the upcoming generation.
Lots of tempting products in the tax-free shop
Shopping for quality products at bargain prices is part and parcel of a sea voyage. And a trip on MS Stavangerfjord is no exception. That’s why we’ve set aside a full 500 square metres for this purpose and pride ourselves on being up-to-date and price-conscious in our tax-free shop.
If you don’t have access to a cabin, you’ll find a luggage room where you can leave your luggage next to the reception on deck 7. This service is free to use for all guests and is open 10 minutes after departure and 10 minutes before arrival. Use of the luggage room is at your own risk.
We invest in environmental technology
Fjord Line is proud that the sister ships MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord are the first and largest cruise ships in the world that sail solely on eco-friendly natural gas.
This means that the ships’ engines are exclusively powered by liquid natural gas (LNG), which produces much fewer greenhouse gas emissions than traditional heavy crude oil. This eco-friendly policy places Fjord Line at the forefront of new and stricter emissions regulations, making the environmental benefits significant along the coast and in the four seas that the cruise ferries cross.
Free internet
On our ships, free internet is offered to all guests during the crossing. Please note that internet quality may vary at sea.
