Grand Mercure Petra Beit Zaman, opened September, 2000, is a renovated authentic XIXth century village, known as Khirbet Al Nawafleh, in Wadi Musa, transformed into this deluxe resort.   The village contains 2 old olive presses both of which were consolidated, as well as an old roman aqueduct in a small half-private courtyard, where, in the old days the villagers would gather to enjoy the sunset, while drinking tea or smoking the Narjileh. Scattered in different parts of the village are olive trees, vineyards, figs and citrus trees.
