Sample Day-by-Day Itinerary:
Day 1 - Depart USA Depart from New York's JFK airport on your overnight flight to Prague. Day 2 - Arrive Prague You'll be met and transferred to your hotel by our local host. Dinner in a local restaurant with folklore. Day 3 - Prague This morning, tour the old part of the city to view the Old Town Square, the famous Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and more. The balance of the day is at leisure. Tonight, enjoy an opera performance.
Day 4 - Prague Today, cross the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany and St. Vitus Cathedral. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure. Day 5 - Prague-Vienna Travel by motorcoach or first class train to Vienna, the “City of Waltz”. The balance of the day is free. Dinner tonight will be in a typical local Heurigen restaurant.
Day 6 - Vienna On your morning sightseeing tour, visit the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and view the Belvedere Palace, Prater amusement park, the UN buildings, St. Stephen's Cathedral and other vivid reminders of the city's imperial history. After a free afternoon, enjoy an evening concert of Strauss’ and Mozart’s music. Day 7 - Vienna Take a guided visit to the Kunsthistorische Museum this morning. The balance of the day is free. Day 8 - Vienna-Budapest Today, journey eastbound by motorcoach or first class train to Budapest, often called “Paris of the East”. The afternoon is free for independent activities or optional excursions. Day 9 - Budapest Situated on the opposite banks of the Danube River, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. Your morning sightseeing tour includes views of the decorative Parliament building, seat of the National Assembly; Vaci Utca, a pedestrian street lined with shops and restaurants; Heroes' Square with the Millennium Memorial, 118 foot high Corinthian column dedicated to the Roman Catholic Church, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The balance of the day is at leisure. Day 10 - Budapest Morning sightseeing tour includes Castle Hill area, Fisherman's Bastion and Royal Palace. Afternoon free. Dinner in a typical csarda restaurant (with entertainment). Day 11 - Budapest After breakfast we will transfer you to the airport to board your homebound flight.
