Dear Rinda,

Thank you for the chance to give you feedback on Tour #111 The Holy Land – March 17-26, 2012.

We booked with 206 Tours simply on the strong recommendation. Owing to a sudden family situation, it was essential we go much earlier and that we return through the USA.

This all happened because 206 Tours lived up to their world-wide reputation and not only took us on board quickly, but delivered the best organised, best conducted and most spiritual journey we could ever have experienced. My wife, Clare, and I will never be the same again.

But why were we so impressed and taken aback spiritually? Well, it all started on Day 1 at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv and leaving the same Airport on the final day was only a transition to the rest of our lives. Spirituality was the focus throughout the pilgrimage – and the sacred sites we visited, plus the commentary that our wonderful Tour Guide, Nidal Jonaidi, gave us were so stimulating and so memorable. The depth of Our Lord’s love for us, how much He suffered for us, and how much He wants us to persevere to the end started to seep into our minds in a way that simply stemmed from being on such a wonderful pilgrimage.

(Incidentally, Nidal’s ongoing links back to the Old Testament were a highlight of each day and he is to be commended.)

On the day-to-day organisation, not one thing came adrift! And that’s a compliment one could rarely give with over 30 people being cared for over 10 days or more. Timing, comfort and enjoyment were the key elements day by day – Nidal did his job and he enjoyed it; our driver, Imad, did his job in a most professional way; and all the hotels gave top service in every department.

To top off our journey, we travelled with happy, vibrant people from the USA – Australia and the USA have always had strong ties and every person on the pilgrimage was a pleasure to be with. We thank you, 206 Tours, for being so very, very professional.

As if all the foregoing was not enough, suddenly we have your President, Milanka Lachman, and Linda....with us! And what a bonus – little wonder Milanka was inducted into The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and that she made such an impression on His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. And we became 206 Tour pilgrims without even knowing these wonderful things about your President.

Before I finish, Fr. Mickey Bancroft gave us wonderful liturgy each and every day – we could only contemplate a pilgrimage with a Priest on board, and Fr Mickey reflected the love of Christ for us every moment of the journey. We were truly blessed and we will pray for him, our pilgrim friends and all at 206 Tours with special enthusiasm that comes from ‘Down Under’.

As members for over 50 years of a Parish staffed by Order of Saint Augustine, we especially commend your choice of St Augustine’s words, The world is a book, those who do not travel read only a page,”

Yours in Augustine

Hi Rinda and Milanka,

As a frequent, global traveler I seldom participate in group tours. This Holy Land program was an exception because of logistics and the renowned reputation of 206 Tours. This was a beautiful pilgrimage made more special with the support and leadership of Nidal and Father Mickey. I truly appreciate Nidal's knowledge and passion, his objectivity and his patience with us. Father Mickey was just as wonderful -- providing spiritual guidance and support along the way. In addition, our driver Imat, was highly reliable --keeping us safe and on schedule. These are exceptional individuals -- humorous, kind, and knowledgeable. It is a privilege to have made this spiritual journey with them.

It was both a surprise and blessing to have met Milanka and Linda onsite. We were able to express our gratitude for their program personally. These pilgrimages are not just a business -- these are also part of the mission for the 206 folks. Their passion and commitment is evident in the thoughtful design and planning of the itinerary, their constant attention to their pilgrims, and the kindness they have for their local providers. Safety, satisfaction, and value -- these are the attributes that they aspire for in their program for their pilgrims/travelers. And they have exceeded all expectations.. on a daily basis, no less.

I truly appreciate this journey and I look forward to many more with 206 Tours.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth M. Stewart

Hi Rinda and Mike,

Blessedly awesome!!!!! These are the words to describe our pilgrimage to the Holy land last Jan 16-26, 2012 thru Tour 206. Fr Vinny Chirichella provided a spiritually filled pilgrimage experience – from the morning prayers, rosary, daily Mass at the different Churches to our nightly prayers - they were so special. Fr Vinny’s homily were inspired by the Holy Spirit. Despite his youth, we felt his anointing by God – we can feel the holiness. Waleed, our pilgrim guide is the best! He is so knowledgeable re: the Bible. Both my husband and myself has been studying the Journey of the Bible Timeline by Jeff Cavins so this pilgrimage brought to life the salvation history of my amazing Catholic faith. Our scheduled visits just seemed to be so smooth in almost every way with Waleed’s coordination of the different scheduled visits and knowing to adjust as needed. No wasted time – only time well spent. We also had the best, accommodating and thoughtful driver - Mamoud. I really felt this pilgrimage is God’s gift to us and the rest of the pilgrims are gifts to us, too. We all connected and cared for each other. Every single one was great! I felt like I have another family. This has been one of the best pilgrimage I have been blessed with. During the whole pilgrimage - despite being supposedly winter in the Holy land – a light rain occurred only for one day the whole trip – and it happened when we were either inside the restaurant eating yummy food or inside the church. The spread of food in front of us was incredible! The hotels were great especially the Maccabean Hotel at Tel-Aviv. The food was delicious. The flights and connections went smooth. It was just awesome! Thank you for the experience and would definitely recommend to others to book their pilgrimages through your group.

From the very start prior to the flight Mike Alessi from Tour 206 was so helpful. I knew then that this would be a great pilgrimage and it was! May our gracious God continue to bless your tour company so that you can bring more of God’s people closer to Him.

Warm regards,

Dear Amanda,

I can only say the pilgrimage from February 7-16, 2012, with Fr. Hughes was one of the better pilgrimages I've had the pleasure of taking.

Everything was handled well from beginning to end, and I have strongly recommended 206 Tours to others who have expressed an interest in traveling to the Holy Land. I have been to Israel four times, and I think the accommodations on this trip were among the best, as were the restaurants providing lunch and dinner. That would be especially true for the Leonardo Hotel in Jerusalem.

George Said is an excellent guide, and I enjoyed some of the things that were different on this pilgrimage than on others, especially praying the Stations of the Cross early in the morning followed by Mass at the Holy Sepulchre. Having done that in the middle of the afternoon on previous trips, it is not nearly as prayerful as the early morning experience. The new location for baptismal renewals at the Jordan River was also a much appreciated experience than that at Yardenit.

The bus driver Yaser was excellent as well.

It was also a great pleasure to have met Gabriel at his home in Jericho. That was another "first-time" experience. The gifts of a stole and a cross are much appreciated, and a very special part of this year's pilgrimage I will not soon forget.

God bless all of you at 206 Tours for the wonderful experience of this Holy Land pilgrimage.

There were two things my wife and I were discussing today that we really ought to make note of:

the "Ron Beach" hotel on Sea of Galilee, was AMAZING...rooms right on the water and the BEST buffet I have EVER, anywhere eaten. Assortment was amazing, fresh and appealing. Staff were courteous and professional - this is a 5 STAR place. (and we stay in a lot of 5 star places in the USA, simply fantastic).

second, the price of your trip - also an amazing thing. When were were checking the airfare alone before we left, the round trip ticket was roughly the same price as the entire cost of your package....how do you do it???? Certainly ought to market it!

Dear Rinda:

I want you to know how very pleased I was with the all the tour arrangements, and am so glad I chose your company for this trip. Being a real novice at this kind of travel, I did not know what to expect, so I purposely tried to keep my expectations modest, so I would not be disappointed. But at every step, from the materials sent prior to the trip, the greeting at the airport, the bus trips, and the hotel accommodations, you far exceeded my expectations. From all the pilgrims with whom I spoke, I am sure the feeling is the same.

But more than that, it was the people who made the trip so special. Our guide, Usama, was not only very personable and knowledgeable, but also shared with us about his family in a way that made us feel like family with him. Our driver, Basama, was outstanding in getting us to all the sites, and he and Usama obviously work well together. Their knowledge of the sites, the people in charge, and the best arrangement of schedules to see the sites with a minimum of waiting made us feel like VIPs!

On the spiritual side, we were truly blessed to have Father Richard Barcliff and Deacon Matt Levy as our spiritual leaders. The opportunity for a daily Mass at one of the sites was extraordinary, and our leaders’ love of the Lord and reverence in leading the worship created many memories that will remain. (As I observed other tour groups we encountered, I was sure the same opportunities were not being enjoyed by most of them, and really came to appreciate your care and the effort which went into your making those arrangements possible. Those experiences alone would fully justify the choice of your company!).

Our group became very close, and I am sure our leadership had much to do with that. Father B and Deacon Matt were always available to talk, and offered evening sharing times which allowed us to become like family, and bond in ways I did not expect. I especially appreciated Deacon Matt’s sharing of his Jewish heritage and culture, and his explaining of the seder meal connected us with our Jewish roots in a way which was so appropriate as we tried to absorb parts of our Lord’s life in his times.

I learned on the trip that your company is family-owned, and the visit with Gabriel in Jericho just reinforced what we felt the entire trip-that we were being treated like family, with the same care we would give to our own. Be assured, we are telling all our friends that not only is it safe to travel in the Holy Land, but we know the best people to take you there.

Blessings as you continue your work,

Clark J. Stojan

Our guide, Usama Salman was very professional, kind, and an excellent guide and historian for our pilgrimage. With the safe driving with Basaam, Usama was able to facilitate our arrival and spiritual time in every location and church. The other two members of our wonderful pilgrimage, Father Richard Barclift and Deacon Matt Levy, shared their knowledge and provided spiritual support and guidance with the masses and our sharing gatherings.

I'm very impressed with everything about the 206 trip. May God bless you with continued faith, dedication, and care for your pilgrims, as you have done for me.

Rinda,

We returned safe and sound to the USA and to Clarion.

I really enjoyed the pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
For my next pilgrimage, I would like to have the same guide if possible.

We met Gabriel who is a holy person and really impressed our group. That was a plus!

Rinda,

just wanted to let you know that the trip to the Holy Land with Father Barclift and Deacon Matt was very uplifting. Usama was the best and went out of his way to make us happy and see the most plus understand what we were seeing. This has been a long life dream of mine since my Uncle Connie went when I was little and would listen to his stories and now 47 years later I got my chance. I feel he was there with me spiritually. I wish my family could have experienced what I did and saw what I have seen. Thanks again for all your help getting me there and for the wonderful trip. I have told many of your company and that it is the best, hopefully some day I will be able to get my wife there.

Thanks again,

Dear Milanka,

As always, the Holy Land was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having Usama for a guide really made the trip special for me. He was such a great guide last year, that is the reason I wanted to return this year.

We didn't go to as many sights as last year. I have mixed feelings about that. Of course you want to see EVERYTHING, but I really think that missing the few that Sam had added last year was the right thing to do, people were not so tired at the end of the day. We made all the stops on the list plus a few extra.

About the priest and deacon. They have worked together for the last 10 years and it really showed. They really complemented each other well. They did the homilies together at times, other times one or the other would give the homily. Always very good homilies. They both have a very good sense of humor, a trait I always enjoy.

The last two years, at Cana, married people could renew their wedding vows. This year, Father said that everyone enters into covenants and this was a good place to renew your covenant. So we were all encouraged to first pray with Deacon Matt, then go to Father Barclift and renew that covenant. I really liked that because it included everyone. Father talked about what a covenant was on our way to Cana.
As you know, Deacon Matt was raised Jewish. He brought booklets for us on a Seder Supper and one night he explained how that supper relates to the Mass, then on night we had a Seder supper.

You would have to meet Matt to understand how excited he is about his faith and how much energy he has. He is one of the best people I have met in a long time. Matt's wife is also a wonderful person.

Matt kept telling people on the trip how wonderful 206 was (and of course I agreed), he told of experiences with other tour companies and how much better you are.

Another thing Matt and Father did; we had the opportunity to meet every night for sharing. This was great, it bonded the group plus we could talk about what we had seen that day, so it helped us remember the sites. I can honestly say, that there was no one on this trip I didn't like, and I think a large part of that was the nightly meetings, when you get to really know the people, you see them in a different light. They become real people.

Milanka, I think you know me well enough by now to know that I tell you how I really feel because I think you need the truth. So good, bad, or indifferent, you hear it from me. I think everyone on the trip felt the same way, I only heard good things all 10 days.

We prayed for your new grandbaby in the Holy Land!

Prayers,

Mary Johnston

Dear Rinda,

Thanks for writing and welcoming me home. Your 206 Tour Company is the best! Your Christian Guide, Usama, was one of the main reasons I enjoyed my pilgrimage so very much! Not only was he informative and knew so very much about our Christian faith, he was just months away from getting his doctorate and so when he spoke, we knew he was talking fact, and not his opinion. He never once gave opinions unless we asked and he said it was His opinion, not the fact, and that we had to choose ourselves, based on fact. He took us to all the Holy Places Jesus Christ went to, and explained in detail all that we needed to know and much much more! Of course Mary's places too!

Your accommodations were more than i thought they were going to be, as I was expecting nothing big. However, the people you connected us with, including the bus driver, and of course my spiritual director Father Barclif, were amazing! Fr. B as we called him and his deacon Matt and Lisa his wife, were the icing on the cake. Fr. Barclift was fair with everyone, humorous, and holy. He was perfect as the spiritual director! So was Deacon Matt & wife Lisa!

I could not have had a better experience, as I am no longer the person I was when I embarked on my pilgrimage on the 25Th of October 2011. It was very spiritual, and filled with history, illumination of thought, and most of all Love. I happened to have gotten sick on the plane trip home as I caught something over there, or it was my medicine interacting with the flight. I was very sick, and a Kind, pilgrims, Mary and Clark, stayed with me the entire time. Even to the point of getting on and off the plane. Fr. and Deacon Matt didn't have to, as Mary was a nurse and Clark was part of our group and sat along side us. Everyone became close and I felt sick, but felt i had family there. I don't think I could explain exactly how I felt, but I appreciate your professionalism, and your high class standards as it made my trip a wonderful one even while I was sick for 14 hours on the flight! (I am sure this is due to the people your tour attracts).

Thank you once again, and the only suggestion I could give, is to offer "back-packs" instead of bags as everyone who saw my only back pack from 206 Tours, wish they had one. Because of my back operation, the back pack help to distribute the weight of all that I carried. I am sure they all would have taken the pack instead of the bag if given the choice. Mine was a God thing as I was asked the question. Perhaps you only had a few left. Don't know.

Thanks and yes I will be using your 206 Tours the next time I decide to take my Pilgrimage again to wherever I go. I will definitely tell all about 206 Tours! I give You an A Plus for everything! Food, lodging, transportation, all inclusive, people who took me on the tour and the guide, Usama and Basam the bus driver!.......Cant say enough about Usama! Cant say enough about Fr. B and Deacon Matt, especially together! The pair makes the trip..... hah lots of laughs.

Sincerely,

Diane Giesing

Thank you so much for the wonderful experience in the Holy Land in October 2011. My group was especially blessed to have three priests with us on our journey. Fr. Fr. Joseph was the best spiritual guide any pilgrim would ever hope for. Before we decided on the tour, I asked Anton to check his credentials because I am very particular about the spiritual director. I have not only been on other tours but also arranged a couple.

On the scale of 1-10 on ratings, I would give your agency an 11! Please pass this on to the others that work with you. Oh yes, and God arranged to give us wonderful fellow pilgrims. I loved them all! You have not seen the last of us.

I know that this is long overdue but I would like to make a comment on our recent tour to the Holy Land last May. We had really a great time and it was an eye opener as we expected. Jack Hlais, our guide was very knowledgeable and took his time in explaining things to us. He is a very decent man and quite sincere. Fr Tom Ganley was also excellent. A very likeable person and a good spiritual guide. This was our first 206 tour and we were really satisfied. We just concluded our 2nd 206 tour to Fatima and Lourdes this Sept and it was even better.

Greetings: We had an outstanding pilgrimage experience on the June 12-21 tour. The Continental flights (going/returning) were on time and without a hitch. Jeries Farah was truly a blessing. His knowledge, his delivery, his passion for the history and people of the Holy Land, and his caring for our group were in evidence each and every day. This was our seventh bus tour to Europe/Russia over the past ten years and he ranks at the top of some very good guides. And our coach driver, Sharif, never put us at risk whatever the situation. The coach was spotless too. The hotels, the meals, the great locations were all first rate as well. The itinerary gave us a wonderful perspective on the history of the region going back to the time of Christ. Having a group of 23 added to our enjoyment as a group twice that size would have lost the closeness that developed with our group. All in all our experience was first rate. Thank you for your assistance, and those in Israel too, in making our pilgrimage a truly life altering event.

I did send a note to Linda when I returned. I cannot say enough about your tour company, our guide was absolutely phenomenal, driver and Allyson our 206 contact. Your company is well known and respected in Israel and I'm sure everywhere. This was a journey of a lifetime for myself and sister-in-law and we are well traveled all over the world. Thank You so much.

God Bless,

Anna O'Connor

Amanda, Liz, Sandra & Patrick,

I think I have finally recovered and am now in my correct time zone. We had a phenomenal trip! Everything was perfect!

What a blessing to have Jeries Farah as our guide. At each site we learned the history, the Bible (Old & New), and current events. He was fascinating. And the entire pilgrimage seemed flawless, we know he worked hard to make it so. Shariff did a tremendous job driving.

Fr Tim loved saying Mass at all of the sites. He was particularly moved at the holy hour you arranged for at Gethsemane. That was very special for him and he anointed each one of us. We also appreciated the tour of the exhibit of the Shroud of Turin that you arranged. Each day I think of more memories and am so grateful we could go to the Holy Land at this time.

I can't thank you enough for organizing this trip for us - I was special to many of us in many ways. We as a group have grown close. I hope that in the future we can put together another pilgrimage.

Thank you again,

Sincerely,

Kris

Dear Mike,

This was our first pilgrimage and we would use 206 tours again in a heartbeat. The privilege to attend Mass every day in the holy sites was very rewarding. Fr. Tom Ganley was very, very helpful and inspiring. I would give him a perfect "10" as our spiritual
director. I would go out on another pilgrimage with him without hesitation. Lastly, I cannot say enough good things about Jack, our local guide. He is simply amazing and so full of local knowledge. I want him as my guide if ever I return to the Holy Land.
Thank you for offering this pilgrimage I've been raving about your operations to all my friends since we returned to US.

God bless.

Dear Cara - On behalf of our small but faithful group we want to thank you for the most spiritually moving trip to the Holy Land.

As soon as our tour guide Jack, met us at the airport in Israel, we knew it was going to be a wonderful pilgrimage. Jack turned out to be our saving grace, our beacon of light in so many places and circumstances. Father Gordon and I can not express how important Jack was to our trip and how his vision, his stories and his faith shaped our experiences in this holiest place on earth. His knowledge of scripture and relating it to each and every place we visited was truly a gift from God; not to mention his knowledge of having lived in Israel. Plus Jack was so passionate about his faith and making sure we understood each and every piece of information he provided. He also provided us entrance to all the right places at the right time of day. He worked his magic, via the phone, keeping us where we needed to be, when we needed to be there. He changed times and itinerary according to the tide of the day. So much work was made behind the scenes by Jack for us.

I believe I can speak for the entire group that the food, no matter where we went, was absolutely fabulous. From each restaurant we went to for lunches to both the Ron Beach and Dan Jerusalem hotels...the food and service was outstanding. Although our group appreciated the up scale amenities of the Dan Jerusalem, we really enjoyed the smaller warm family and intimate atmosphere we received from the Ron Beach by the Sea of Galilee.

Our bus driver, Joe, was awesome...getting us safely in and out of some really tight spots, especially with a million cars and buses on the roads going every which way.

The only thing that is missing here is our individual experiences. They are not only hard to express, but I don't think we have fully experienced all of them yet. The overview from our group about this trip was extremely the highest rating in terms of our hotels, our food, our tour guide and the weather. As for our spiritual experiences, there is no rating high enough. I can say this... that I believe everyone from our group connected with and had a personal encounter with God during this trip.

Father Gordon and I wish to thank you Cara for the outstanding job you did in answering all of our questions, concerns, special request, arranging and re-arranging our trip with joy, love and patience. It is in the prep work that makes a trip special and rewarding and you and 206 delivered. Awesome job!

Milanka and Eve....our thanks to both of you as well. 206 is part of Our Lady's mission to save souls by bringing them closer to her SON....mission accomplished! May God continue to bless 206 Tours and all who work there.....you are the best!

On behalf of our entire pilgrim group I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.

God Bless,

Suzanne

Dear Rinda,

First of all I wish to thank you and all at 206 for allowing my little group to join with Fr. Patrick Crawley and his group for a wonderful pilgrimage to Israel and the Holy Shrines there. Once again you have provided us with a very special spiritual experience in the land of Jesus. I hope that my two companions, Theresa Thompson and Shirley Mayer, will send you a word of appreciation as well. This was my third year in a row to have opportunity to spend some of my Lenten time of preparation for the celebration of the last days of Holy Week at the very places marking the Paschal Mystery of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus. This is an experience every Catholic should have during a lifetime after which the Sacred Triduum can never be the same.

We enjoyed the hotels with a special cu-do for the one on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. That was a wonderful location and the place was comfortable in every way and a much better spot than the one in Nazareth we had stayed in the previous two years.

As an additional touch the dinner wine was much appreciated too.
I hope to travel at least one more time with you and that to Rome and Florence. In the next week or so I will contact you to discuss this possibility.

Thanks for all the special help you have given me over the years allowing me to visit places I never dream t I would see.

Sincerely,

Father C. Joseph Batcheldor

Hi Rinda,

I came back from my wonderful tour (Jordan, Holy Land, Mt. Sinai, Cairo) in November 2010 and still have warm and inspiring memories from the pilgrimage. It made my Christmas season so much more meaningful. All in all, I think my relationship with Jesus has deepened and I feel I am even closer to HIm than before! I had been to the Holy Land in 1995 and this time I saw places I had not seen before.

The Jordan Trip: All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Jordan. Even though my friend Jane and I missed the first day of the tour due to airline delays we were able to join the group in Petra. Petra was awesome. The resort hotel, Taybet, was very unique and blended into the Petra area landscape. Our tourguide, Nassir, was very knowledgeable and I learned many things about the Kingdom of Jordan.

The Holy Land speaks for itself. There are no words to describe the experience of being in Jesus ' land and visiting all the areas he frequented while preaching. It was so moving to follow the path of Jesus down the Via Delarosa to His crucifixion. Sami, our tour guide was excellent. He not only was very knowledgeable of the history, the Scriptures and the land but was efficient and no nonsense about getting us on the bus and on our tours.

We were very well taken care of in Egypt. It was so awesome from being at the Red Sea resort of Taba to Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine's monastery to where the Israelites wandered. Cairo was steeped in history. And seeing the Pyramids was incredible! It was great to be able to .see the Christian sites in Cairo and tour the Egyptian Museum. One young man from the tour group and myself took the Nile dinner cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our guide Magat (not sure if that is how he spells his name) was excellent and took good care of us. We felt very safe because the bodyguards were always with us.

I plan to take other tours with 206tours in the future. I think you all are an outstanding tour company. When Jane and I were trying to trace our missing luggage you all were with us every step of the way. We never felt alone.

In conclusion I just wanted to let you know that the hotels were outstanding! The Egyptian hotel was all right....we would have preferred to be on the second floor instead of the first. Otherwise, everything was wonderful! Thank you!

Many blessings to you all and a Glorious Easter to you!

Sincerely,

Angela Dinkle

Dear Mike and all at 206,

I would like to thank you for all you did to make my 25th anniversary trip to the Holy Land one of the most memorable experiences of my life!

Every aspect of the trip (except for the delay flight from New Jersey to Rochester which you have no control over) was far beyond my expectations.

Sam, our guide was EXCELLENT! He was kind, polite, respectful and spiritual. The historical and biblical information he shared was incredible. Our driver Emad was equally kind and respectful and his skill ensured our safety and ensured that we arrived at all the sites in a timely manner. Staying at Ein Gev was beyond words. To stay right on the Sea of Galilee and to be able to pray right on the sea in the morning and the evening was indescribable. Our Chaplain, Fr. Lee, did a wonderful job of being available for everyone. What an honor it was to be able to concelebrate Mass with him at all the holy sites. I could go on an on but being that I am back in the parish, I have much work to catch up on.

However, I do so with an enhanced spirit, having been up on Tabor and now invited by God to live out my ministry in the glow of this incredible experience! I have included one of my favorite pictures of sunset on the Sea of Galilee. Once again thanks to all for everything. May God bless you.

Peace,

Fr. Stan

Dear 206 Tours,

Just a quick email to let you know that our pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Rome was more than perfect. The weather was great, flight connections all made, the hotels were all wonderful, the sights, sounds and memories will be with us for ever.

The two people that lent the most to a perfect experience was Samel or guide and Emad or driver in Israel. They made the trip totally seamless. Not once was there ever a hiccup or bump in all the holy sights that we visited, hotels we stayed, meals taken or roads we traveled. Samel was able to part the tide of people and Emad was able to always safely maneuver the bus on the narrowest and busiest of streets. Samel had the most incredible knowledge of the history of the Holy Land. With his Christian perspective, he was able to make the holy sights come alive for us.

The biggest challenge now is to process all the info, memories and about 1,700 pictures.
Also, having some very nice wine at the dinner table each night made it all the more easy to make life long friends with our fellow pilgrims.

We are already talking about which tour 206 will be taking us on next.
Thank you 206 for a pilgrimage of a life time.

Dear Cara,

I have been on a number of pilgrimages.  This was a pilgrimage in the real sense of the word.
Penny, as always, was her wonderful self and Fr Tino, Fr Jeff and Fr Miguel were the most
amazing and spiritual priest I have ever met. In my 76 years, I have met many priests.
Not one of whom can compare to these men.
Even now, when I think back, the wonders and emotional journey I experienced are so clear in my mind.
I will never forget the magic of being in the places our dear Lord traveled.
The spirituality of the priests will be forever in my mind.
Our group was surely assembled by Christ and my friends and I will be forever changed
We cried we laughed and leaned on each other, even on those pilgrims we just met.

Thank you, thank you
may God Bless you as you continue to guide His people back to Him

Hello Mike,

Thank you for checking back on us.

Our trip to Holy Land was absolutely amazing!! Fr. Damien Schill must have been sent by heaven. He is such a blessing to my family and me. My husband was so touched by his homilies that he went to confession after so many years! I had the best birthday celebration of my life, and might very well be the best I could ever have.  Thanks to Fr. Damien for providing all the added touches to an already extraordinary day at Mt. Tabor - from our morning prayers to our dinner.  It was so much more than I imagined it would be.

Our tour guide and driver are both experts in their own respective fields.  Yousef is so knowledgeable in both history and biblical accounts.  I learned so much from him.  Rami was able to get our bus in and out of the narrow, and sometimes, busy streets without difficulty.

I'd like to think that our group was formed with the Divine intervention. It's fascinating how this group came about and how each family/pilgrim came on board the trip. It was really nice to be with people who share the same beliefs and faith as you; I felt spiritually invigorated. I can sense that the members of the group have given inspiration to one another, not to mention Fr. Damien who magnificently carried out his role as our Spiritual Director.

Overall, the trip was worth all the money, time and energy spent.  I praise God for this wonderful blessing! Thank you to all the 206 Tours staff, including Milanka, for all the prayers and services.

In Christ and Mary,

Imelda Lloren

Four times I have asked 206 to help me get the most memorable experience for my time and money. Once again, you did a splendid job. We had the best guides available. Our hotels were all clean and comfortable. The best food, I thought, was at the kibbutz near Tiberius and the lunch we had in Bethlehem. We thank Father Anthony for doing such a good job of keeping us on the Pilgrimage path.

Thank you so much for making my pilgrimage a great one. The Israel visit was really good. I was planning to join a baptist group a couple of years ago but somehow, I changed my mind. I was glad I had found your website. It was really a memorable visit. Attending Mass in the holy sites make it very special. When I hear Christmas carols, it brings me back to the holy land and how lucky I am to have been there and walk through the places were Jesus had been.

All our guides were good and the our asccommodations were great/including the buffet breakfast and dinner. If ever I plan of going on another pilgrimage I definitely will check 206 Tours.

Dear Rinda,

Thanks for your interest about our experience on the trip. You truly care about your pilgrims even after the fact. Overall, it was beyond our expectations; an extensive coverage of the New Testament. It was especially planned that we were able to get the best schedule, ( always ahead of other groups), and  to celebrate unforgettable masses in major Holy sites, like, the Church of Annunciation on the feast of Immaculate Conception on Dec. 8th, Mt Calvary, Church of Nativity, Primacy of Peter, etc. Having Fr. Anthony and his mother on board was just like having Jesus and His mother in our midst. His homilies were moving. The group was a blessing of wonderful and beautiful people. I learned a lot from our knowledgeable and spiritual tour guide Yousef, and inspired me to get more serious about the bible. I thought he was a biblical scholar. Each day, we were greeted smilingly by the driver Rami and always attentive and caring.

It was indeed a REAL pilgrimage. We went through cold, wind, rain, and sandstorm, but never missed an itinerary. The stormy Dead Sea did not stop my 80-year old mother from getting into the water. She thought, how many get to see the Dead Sea come alive as this? Having seen her "agility", we should have extended our trip to Jordan and Egypt. My sister finally got to ride a camel, which she failed to do while living in Saudi Arabia.

It was my second, and first for my sister and mother to be with 206 Tours.

Thanks for the trip of a lifetime. God bless you and your service to pilgrims.

Sincerely,

Percy Dumlao (w/ my sister Estee & Mom Petra)

Dear Mike and All those who made the Holy Land and Jordan tour available,

Thank you for the planning and great coordination that goes into making one of these tours work so well.
I found every part of the Pilgrimage a blessings and a great experience. I am especially grateful that you were able to work out the Jordan tour.
Our Guide and Driver were most knowledgeable and gracious. We came to a deeper appreciation of both ancient and modern Jordan through their guidance.

The Holy Land pilgrimage was also very good. We appreciated having a priest present so that we were able to celebrate Mass at the Holy Sites and have that additional spiritual aspect. Again, our guide was well-versed in scripture and the history and culture of the land and the people and provided a fine overview of both the areas of Galilee and Jerusalem.

Our hotels and the hospitality, buses, drivers all made the journey pleasant and comfortable.

Thank you once again and blessings on those who travel with you in the future.

Dear Billy,

We have just returned from Jordan this morning, feeling tired but happy to be safely back home.

We are all agreed that our trip to Israel was enjoyable and memorable. Things were organized and went smoothly according to schedule. Our tour guide, Tony Azraz, was a big factor in our enjoyment of the tour. He was well versed in the religions and cultures of the Holy Land, and his fluency in English made it easier for us to appreciate the history of the place.

We got spoiled in Israel and expectations were high for the Jordan tour guide. He tried his best to accommodate us. It is just that he is not as seasoned or as organized as Tony, so we had some difficulty understanding some of his explanations.

Overall the pilgrimage was a wonderful experience because it deepened our faith and it allowed us to enjoy each other's company. And the shopping!

Thank you and regards,

Hello Rinda,

Thank you and your staff so much for putting this together for us.  All was great, from the moment we landed in Amman, our transfer to Israel, and our trip through Sinai and into Cairo and our departure to the U.S.  All was handled with precision and expertise by all persons involved.  Rinda, thank you for arranging Mass for us in Jordan at Mt Nebo and at Our Lady of Peace Center (bilingual in Arabic and English) on Sunday.

Our guides, Nassar in Jordan, Sami in Israel, and Maged in Egypt, were very well informed.  They made their perspective countries come alive with their knowledge of the bible, culture, geography, and history.  Our thanks to all of them!  The drivers proved their capability, especially Ashad in Israel, taking that huge bus in and out of tight situations without difficulty.  He knows how to drive a bus!!!

Socorro and I came back from our Pilgrimage glowing!  This was definitely a dream come true and we thank God for giving us the opportunity to have gone on this most beautiful pilgrimage. Everything we saw and experienced was spectacular, and breathtaking.  There was many a moment when we were left speechless and with tears in our eyes.  One highlight was walking through Old Jerusalem before dawn and experiencing the Stations of the Cross.  Our group was the only group there, and this made it exceptional for all of us as it became a private, peaceful experience.  Another highlight was seeing the panorama of Jerusalem from the Mt of Olives. Now when we teach our Catechism classes and read from the Bible, in our minds we can visualize the Biblical sites and teach with more enthusiasm.

On our trip, we met so many nice people, who we will not forget.  Our thanks to Fr. Chris Argano.  He is on fire for the Lord and the Catholic Church!  His homilies were wonderful, and he is a great guy too.

Again many thanks, and we look forward to traveling again with 206 Tours.

Hi Rinda,

I am a little late on replying to your e-mail but wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time on the Holy Land & Cairo trip which ended last Saturday.  I wanted to mention that the 2 tour guides that we had in Jerusalem  (Sami) & Cairo (Maget) made the trip really special for us.  Their knowledge about the various sites and organization skills helped us to see all the Holy Land & Epyptian sites and it made it a very special pilgrimage.  I need to mention our Administrative person in Egypt- Mr. Ahqmad (sp?).  I don’t know how we would have managed Cairo without his help: getting to sites, organizing the details and especially helping us at the airport.  Also our pilgrimage priest, Fr. Argano, made each of our Masses so special with his heartful homilies.  Kudos to all of them!  I would definitely take another pilgrimage with 206 Tours.

I recently retired from teaching and intend to do more traveling.  I know that this tour will be the highlight of any other trips that I may take in the future. Everything was so organized and the fact that we had a priest to say Mass at the various biblical sites will forever be with me.  Our guide, Youseph, was a Catholic and he gave us so much information and tied all of the sites together. Catholics should go to Israel with a Catholic tour such as 206 to benefit more spiritually.  I am amazed at how many sites we were able to see and experience while there. I came home renewed and with a deeper appreciation and love of God. I am recommending 206 Tours to some friends who want to take a pilgrimage next year. Thank you and God bless!

Dear Mike,

Thank you for your email.

I have joined several pilgrimages and this was the first time I went with a group organized outside the Filipino Community in Vienna and I don't regret my decision. The pilgrimage was truly an enriching experience. Priceless! It was just amazing, especially when we visited the Nativity and the Crucifixion sites, the feeling's so intense. I could feel God's presence which brought me to tears.

Your itinerary was perfect, I guess it covered everything. The group was fantastic. It was indeed an honor to meet them. It's just a pity we didn't have enough time to know each other more. Our guide Sami is the best I've known so far. He is perfect for the job. Impressive! Same thing with Rashad. They were so pleasant and accomodating. They're the team to beat.

Our Spiritual Director, Fr. Chris Argano is such a blessing. His homilies were relevant and moving.

I will cherish this pilgrimage for the rest of my life. Thank you. Keep up the good work. More Power. God Bless.

Angelina

Wow, Milanka, I just want to say that I think 206 is fantastic. I had a great group of pilgrims travelling together in Egypt and the Holy Land. I could not have asked for me or expected more in terms of our visits, our prayers and Masses togther, the shrines, the people we met (guides and drivers), the hotels we stayed at, the food, visits.... 206 is the BEST! You put together something of a miracle!

Dear Mike,

Thank you for the opportunity to let you know how wonderful our recent Pilgrimage to the Holy land was for both of us.  As you may know, our son Fr. Chris Argano was the Spirtual Director of the pilgrimage, and that only made our experience much more satisfactory.

Obviously, we are not going to comment on Fr. Chris' performance, however we are certain that you will be hearing from some of the other pilgrims, and based upon their comments to us you will be pleased.

Our guide Sami was top notch.  He was informative, helpful, and most especially he looked out for all of us.  We would recommend 206 Tours without hesisitation, but wewould tell whomever we make such a recommendation to ask for Sami as the tour guide for the Holy Land Pilgrimage.

Our driver Rashad was also excellent.  He is a very skillful driver, and was also very informative as well.  He and Sami are a great team.

206 Tours clearly is first rate, and that was proven by how happy and joyous we came away from the Pilgrimage.

We wish you continued success, and would not hesitate to recommend you to our friends and family.

With every good wish and God's Blessing,

Catherine & Frank Argano

We just finished our Holy Hour in the Garden of Gethseminie Church and you could actually feel the healings that were taking place. Fr. Tino had everyone spellbound by his prayers. I couldn't say enough about Usama -THE BEST GUIDE EVER!

I can't thank you enough for putting us all together and working everything out sooooooooooooo beautifully and gracefully.

With Love and Prayers and a great and blessed weekend,

Dear Mike,

We are so impressed with 206 Tours.. A truly professional job! Well Done! Fr. Argano, was a wonderful spiritual leader, Sami, an amazing guide, beyond a doubt, the best of the best. He left no stone unturned, no question unanswered, no opportunity missed. His network of contacts and his amazing logistical ability allowed us to celebrate Mass in the most sacred of places. An added bonus was our stop to see the site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery which he substituted, following a group vote, rather than waste time at a site of minor importance that had a huge lineup....so glad we were able to see it. Rashad, our driver, whose skill got us in and out of spaces even a car would have had trouble with, left us all cheering him on many occasions.
The following describes our most memorable experience which you are welcome to share with your future clients.

Sami, our exception guide, is about to give us an amazing gift...
We arise before dawn. The old city of Jerusalem is still sleeping as we, in near silence, enter her gates. Our hurried footsteps echo through the darkness of the narrow winding streets like those of soldiers on the march. A tiny beam of light from Sami`s flashlight guides us over the series of steps and uneven paving stones. We make our way into the pre dawn of 2000 years ago. Suddenly, we stop. We are here at our first station of the cross. Fr. Argano leads us in prayer. From the darkness we look up to see the first pink glow of dawn touch the rooftops and in the distance we hear a rooster crow. A chill goes up our spines and tears begin to flow. Our journey along the Way of the Cross begins...

God Bless,

Dear Milanka,

During Oct. 2007 Sister Jean Lind,  and ourselves went on a 206 pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Jordan.  Almost immediately we discussed making another pilgrimage to the Holy Land. This time we were fortunate to also our friend, Sister Kathleen Wood, accompany us.  We were pleased with the special arrangements and efforts Mike, Rinda, and Stephanie made to assure we traveled together and have rooms close to each other. Whenever we contacted any  them, we received courteous and prompt responses to our questions and concerns.
The guidance Cara gave to us on the procedures involved in crossing from Jordan to Jerusalem was clear and extremely helpful and made what could have been a complicated process simple.

The short time we  spent in Jordan was truly enriching. Upon our departure from the airport we received a welcoming telephone call and a gift of cookies from Vicki. We were the only four who were part of the Jordan portion of our pilgrimage. The time we spent at Petra, Mt.
Nebo, Madaba and Jerash were truly once in a life time experiences.   Thank
you for accommodating our small group.  Our guide, Nasser, and  driver, Issam, were truly exceptional and very competent individuals who took a personal interest in each of us.  We each benefited immensely from their insights and reverence for the places we visited.  We left for Tel A Viv with a deep respect and fondness for Jordan and its people.

Experiencing a pilgrimage to the Holy Land for the second time allowed us to appreciate the experience in a more reflective manner.  We thank 206 for the gift of wine at each dinner and the truly delicious multi- course lunch at the Abu Shanab restaurant in Bethlehem.  We enjoyed the friendships we made with each member of our group, our driver, Rami and our guide, Sami.  Sami had the unique gift of being able to recall and utilize biblical passages relating to the sites and geography of the Holy Land. He also expertly helped us to integrate our experiences into the events of Christ's life and mission.

Once again we extend our thanks to you and your staff.  You conduct your business as a true ministry which allows 206 pilgrims to benefit spiritually from your efforts.

Sincerely,

Marcia and Nick Lorang

Hi Mike,

I really enjoyed my pilgrimage.  What made it so special and so memorable is the tour guide you assigned to us, Sami Tawil.  He was great!  He did an outstanding job bringing the history as well as scripture into the sights we saw.  It is a trip I will always remember.  My life is much richer spiritually after this trip.  It is a trip everyone should make at least once in their lifetime.  I do hope to do this again someday.

Thank you so much!

Dear Mike,

Words cannot express the wonder of our pilgrimage to the Holy Land and to the Shrines of Italy that we just completed.  It was truly a trip of a lifetime.

I cannot say enough good things about our guide in the Holy Land, Sami Tawil.  He must be a theologian.  He knows the Old Testament and New Testament and could quote chapter and verse as it pertained to what we were seeing and experiencing. This enriched our experiences immensely. We had a very moving experience when we celebrated Holy Mass in Our Lord's Tomb at the Holy Sepulchre. I was among others in our group who were moved to tears at the enormity of Our Lord's sacrifice and love for us. I truly understood how Christ was still with us through the Eucharist, even though we stood at His tomb. It was an overwhelming emotion which produced tears. Our spiritual director, Fr. Carlos Rodrigues, was equally prepared to enlighten and educate us.  He also presided at the renewal of vows at Cana with my husband of 30 years. What a privilege that was!

Thank you to 206 tours for the delicious lunch and, more importantly, such excellent planning which enabled my husband and I along with our fellow pilgrims to have such an enriching experience.

Sincerely,

Dear Mike and Milanka,

I just want to say Thank You for such a wonderful experience. 206 Tours did an exceptional job planning our Pilgrimage. Our tour guide Sami was extremely knowledgeable and concerned for our well being. Fr. Carlos was phenomenal. I made this pilgrimage with my 11 year old son Tommy. Both Sami and Fr. Carlos were tremendous with him, taking the time to answer any questions he had. Our whole group became his adopted parents watching out for him. During the trip we all became very close, exchanging contact information and hoping to tour again as a group in the future.

I am a Lady of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. While in Jerusalem I had an appointment to see the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem to receive a pilgrim’s shell. For the Day of the appointment, our entire group voted to delay the start of our day and accompany me to see Bishop Kamal. It was a very special moment for me to be able to share that with my fellow pilgrims. Sami made sure that we would not miss out on any of the itinerary. I was so pleased at the flexibility and kindness of everyone.

While all of the places we visited were very special, the one that stands out most was the early morning Mass in our Lords Tomb in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Being a small group we could all fit inside the Tomb. My son described it as “a very important step in my life” and of the whole trip he said “That was my life changing pilgrimage”. To be able to bring a child along and experience the path of Jesus at such a young age is truly a wonderful gift. He will carry with him the memories of this pilgrimage for the rest of his life.

Thank you to Sami, Fr. Carlos and the whole 206 team that made this trip memorable.

Dear Milanka,

I want to thank you from the deepest recesses of my heart for allowing me to be the spiritual director for the recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land, 10th to 19th October. It was for me a profound an indelible experience. On October 16th your company had arranged Mass for us at 5:00A.M at the burial and resurrection tomb of Our Lord at the Holy Sepulcher Church where we offered the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It was so moving that some pilgrims had tears in their eyes. Everyone said that that was the highlight of their pilgrimage.

I also want to thank you very much for the lunch you sponsored us in Bethlehem. Sami, our guide was very knowledgeable and correct in regards to the information he imparted to us.Before the trip I did some extensive research and reading, and needless to say, Sami was right on target. We were very fortunate to have him.He was very impressive.

I would also like to share with you another experience we had in the hotel in Jerusalem. In that hotel there were many other visitors to the Holy Land. They saw us with our 206 ids around our necks and inquired about our tour. What was very outstanding was they were on a tour we were on a pilgrimage. What do I mean by that? They did not have a priest with them to offer daily the Most Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and to instruct and direct them in spiritual matters. 206 does not offer tours but pilgrimages. I think they were envious of us, but that is the difference between 206 tours and other tour groups. My pilgrims all had a very positive and memorable pilgrimage.

Milanka, this is the fourth time that I have traveled with 206 and was pleased at all times. It was a privilege and a great honor to be the priest and spiritual director, for 206 tour and I sincerely thank you for this.

Pax et bonum,

Dear Mike,

First of all I would like to say - Happy 25th Anniversary to 206 Tours and a big thank you for having us in that awesome 14 days of spiritual journey of the Holy Land and Cairo. It was a life changing spiritual experience for me and 206 Tour completely exceeded my expectation. It was very organized, well planned and the pilgrims were all taken cared off in every step of the way. The hotel accommodation was great; the guides - Joseph and Max are very professional and expert in their field. Thank you also to Father Peter for sharing his most precious time to be with us in that journey, he gave us the spiritual guidance and wisdom to better understand our faith.

I wish 206 Tours more power in their endeavour and may God continue to use you as His instrument in spreading the spiritual blessings to all your future pilgrims. I will surely recommend 206 to my friends and family and I hope with God’s grace that I could come back again and join some other pilgrimages in the near future. Our spiritual journey was a success! You could see (our sweet smiles) from our group pictures that we are one big family. We became one great family through the intervention of the Holy Spirit. Our spiritual director, Fr. Peter Dugandzic was a superb, intellectual, and very excellent speaker. We all listened to his homilies.

Our tour guides Heidi (Germany), Joseph (Israel) and Max (Egypt) did a good job, kind and helpful to us. They became our good brothers and sister to us.

Our accommodations were fine. The food in Germany was excellent. In Israel, was average because of buffet style ( the same selections were there everyday). In Egypt, some of us was tired of seeing the Mediterranean food, but as the old saying goes "when in Rome....". Maybe it would be nice to have other nations' food (lunch time)?

Thank you, and on this pilgrimage, the scenery was beautiful and the people were wonderful. I'm lucky to be a part of this journey, walking the path of Jesus Christ.

Hi Rinda and Mike,

The Israel and Rome pilgrimage tour was one of the most powerful and awe-inspiring experiences we have ever had. From the very moment we flew out of Vancouver to the moment we flew back home, we felt God's hand guiding and protecting us along the way. This was a calling for the two of us (my wife and I) and with our interactions with our beloved pilgrims, we also knew that God was calling them to this pilgrimage as well. To be able to see and touch the very places where Jesus and Mary walked and lived was so very powerful. It's so true that if you go to the Holy Land, you will never come back the same. Everything in our spiritual lives has come alive because we have walked in the footsteps of Christ. Fr. Tim was not only an inspiring spiritual leader but also a faithful companion. We were blessed to share our faith together with our new friends in our group with whom was hand picked by God and we are very thankful to have met them. Sami is truly a gifted person and a wealth of information. He was an instrument of God to bring the Bible to life and allowed us to visualize the scriptures as we visited the Holy sites. Rami, our driver, was an excellent driver in bringing all of us safely to and from our destinations.

Although our Rome tour was short and a whirlwind of activity, we enjoyed it just as much especially seeing the Pope during the Papal Audience!

206 Tours has a wonderful ministry in providing these pilgrimages to everyone around the world and we will surely be booking with you again in our future pilgrimages.

Thank you so much and God bless,

Les and Lori Zalamea

Vancouver, BC, Canada
(PS - The only thing that was a negative was our transfer to the airport from Rome on our last day which did not show even though our tour guide, Vincenzio, mentioned to us that it was all arranged for us and not to worry about it. The hotel was kindly able to arrange one for us.)

Dear Rinda,

My husband and I were very pleased with our Holy Land Tour that concluded today. Our guide Sammi Taweel and driver Rami were excellent! There could not have been any better Tour Guide and driver in my opinion because of their expertise in their respective fields. Sammi gave a lot of explanation about the sites that we visited and made their connection with the passages in the bible. Our Spiritual Director, Father Tim, was equally good as he guided us spiritually and read verses in the bible that pertained to the sites we visited.

Again, thank you for making all the arrangements for us even if we took only Land Tour. The memory of that Pilgrimage where we also met good pilgrims will forever linger in our hearts. We were very lucky and thankful to be in that particular group.

My husband and I went on the Israel segment of the tour (the same group tours Jordan / Petra earlier in the week. It was AMAZING. They take you to many Catholic religious sites: Cesarea by the Sea, a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, Mensa Christi and Nazareth (Annunciation, Visitation) in Galilee, and, of course, Jerusalem and surrounding areas: Holy Sepulchre, Gethsemane, Via Dolorosa, Upper Room, Mount of Olives, Ascension Chapel, Bethlehem, Jericho and Lazarus' tomb in Bethany. There is also time for a float in the Dead Sea, which is not a Catholic site but certainly worth trying! The tour is a great value for the money and it is definitely the trip of a lifetime.

Two things I want to share, though: First, part of what made our particular trip so amazing was our specific guide and spiritual director. From what I understand, the guide and the spiritual director change each tour. Our guide, Rimon Makhlouf, is a local Palestinian Catholic, and incredibly knowledgeable and insightful (he daylights as a university professor). Our spiritual director was Fr. Daniel Kampschneider from Omaha, NE. Both added incredible value to the trip and gave the sites a new dimension by connecting the historical with the spiritual. In each site, we read the Bible passage that mentions that site, which was particularly meaningful to me. I do think 206 Tours chooses their leaders carefully, though, so it's not exactly "luck of the draw," either. …. A trip to Israel is the trip of a lifetime, and a must for any Jew, Christian or Muslim at some time in their life. If you are Catholic, 206 Tours will provide a wonderful Catholic perspective on all the holy sites. I highly recommend their Israel tour based on my experience with them. Enjoy the journey!

Dear Rinda:

Seven years ago, Bernie & I took our first spiritual journey to Fatima, Lourdes & Medjugorje.
All the arrangements made by 206 Tours were superb especially our pilgimage to Medjugorje.
Some members of our group that time continued their pilgrimage to Nevers & Lisieux and the
rest went back to the U.S. It was just the two of us who continued to Medjugorje. We were
uncertain what was going to happen for the next four days of our journey since we were only two.
It was quite scary but we always believed that the Divine presence is everywhere and with the
arrangements we were really surprised with the excellent outcome of the pilgrimage. Our tour guide
had other pilgrims from the U.S. to be with us so, this journey lived up to our expectations & had
been recommending 206 Tours to our friends.

With the excellent service we decided to go to this long overdue pilgrimage to the Holy Land with
206 Tours inspite of the recommendations of our friends & associates to use other companies.
Our first tour choice was cancelled so, thanx Rinda for recommending other tour options. It was
another spiritual experience that will remain in our hearts as long as we live. This was an emotional
journey visiting the places of grace & prayer. We loved the holy sites masses & Fr. John's daily
homily. Since our group was such a small group we were privileged to have Mass inside the 2nd room
( where the tomb of our Lord Jesus Christ is located). Fr. John was very nice to give communion
also to some of the pilgrims who attended Mass but stayed in the 1st room who were not in our
group. For us, this was the highlight of our pilgrimage. We thanked very much our tour guide-- Sammy,
very knowledgeable & flexible in keeping & prioritizing our important daily activities----our driver for
his patience in keeping us safe throughout---- but most of all Fr. John Larson who always kept
watch over us. We also enjoyed our discussions, arguments & reaching to conclusions & answers with
Sammy & Fr. John. Our thanks to Gabriel for his inspirational talk during our last day. It brought me
to tears. Rest assure we will be praying for our Christian brothers & sisters in the Holy Land especially
when we wear the commemorative cross pendant keepsake that you gave us.

Milanka,

Thanks so much for that great lunch last week and for your dedication to the Church and to priests. You are really doing great things for so many by offering all the pilgrimages.

Attached is a group photo from Oberammergau. I still have to see about a group photo from the Holy Land. God bless and enjoy!

Hi Rinda and Milanka,

We just returned from our vacation and the Holy Land. Our Holy Land trip was wonderful to say the least. Fr. David was supper great! A wonderful young priest full of life and joy. He was a gift to the pilgrimage. My husband and I made the same pilgrimage last year but …..we saw more and experienced so much more this time. This was far more spiritual…. The group was amazing and everyone seemed to blend together perfectly. There was truly a same spirit in us and among us. Most of the group experienced a true miracle together... flowers from Our Lady appeared out of nowhere and fell to the ground and landed inside a perfect circle inside the church on the Feast of Her Immaculate Heart! Kisses, kisses, kisses from heaven!

We even got Fr. David in the Jordan River to re-baptize us!

Our tour guide, Nabeil and our bus driver, Rashad were knowledgeable and excited right along with us. Rashad was a gift. He was so full of joy! He has completed two years of Theology School and has incredible knowledge of the Bible. You should use him for all of your pilgrimages! He could be both bus driver and guide!

Our family experienced something far greater than rose petals falling from the sky... Our vacation included much more than our pilgrimage to the Holy Land. We first went to Croatia to our god-daughter's graduation. We took her and her mother to the Holy Land with us. Right before she went home she thanked us and said she could not wait to get home and read her Bible! This brought me to tears.

Thank you again. May the Lord reward you for all you do.

Blessings,

Lindarae G. LaRocca

Subject: Holy Land-Oberammergau Review

After traveling for the past few weeks, I finally have some time to write about the pilgrimage to the Holy Land and Oberammergau, May 23 to June 4. Thanks for being patient with me.

FLIGHTS
All the flights went well and the airlines were very good. Those of us going on to Oberammergau after the Holy Land portion were not looking forward to a 5:00am flight from Tel Aviv because it was so early (we had a wakeup call at our hotel in Jerusalem at 12:00 midnight!). But looking back, it was probably a good idea, because of the long security process at Tel Aviv airport and the time it took to reach Munich (it was about a half-day travel).

GUIDES & DRIVERS
As I mentioned to Milanka, George Said in Jerusalem was a superb guide, perhaps the best I ever worked with. He was very well organized, sensitive to the needs of the 45 pilgrims, and was always on the phone organizing things and making sure we were on schedule. Especially important and appreciated was "coffee out"... George was always pointing out the rest rooms and this was most welcome by our pilgrims as we arrived and departed from the different locations. It was also helpful that he knew so many people at the churches and holy sites (i.e., the Franciscans, the Orthodox priests, etc) so he could get the group through without too much waiting. George was also a man of great faith, which he shared with us, and I think this was also very helpful and important. Salim, our driver in Israel, was also great. He was a true master of driving the huge bus up and down the hills and mountains. I highly recommend him as driver for future pilgrimages!

In Germany, we were warmly greeted by a delightful young lady, Claudia, our guide in Munich and Oberammergau. The smaller group of 17 pilgrims enjoyed our visit to Germany with her and she was helpful in answering our questions and directing us to various locations. She was very patient with all of us, had a calm and peaceful attitude, and we enjoyed spending time with her. I think the only problem we had about the Mass schedule in Oberammergau. Other than that all was well. Our drivers were also very good in Germany.

ACCOMODATIONS
All of the places we stayed at in Israel were quite nice and the pilgrims were comfortable. Initially, there were some problems with rooms at the Olive Tree Hotel in Jerusalem (some were too small), but the staff were very good there and made some room switches and everyone was happy after that. Netanya and Nazareth had beautiful hotels. All of the hotel meals were great and people seemed happy with the food selections. It was very good to have water and wine at dinner-- people liked that very much. The hotel in Oberammergau was wonderful and provided great meals as well.

Personally, I must say that the room I had in Jersualem was extremely nice and I am grateful for this! At the Olive Tree Hotel, I was given the King Hussein Suite, which was "fancy" to say the least. Thanks to whoever set this up!!!! I had a living room and a bedroom, as well as an outside deck! Wow! This was actually very good because there was no place in the hotel that was private enough for confessions, so I was able to have people come to my room and we used the suite for the confessions!!! It was a perfect setup!

OVERALL EXPERIENCE
I think all of the pilgrims both in the Holy Land and Germany had a great time and were spiritually moved by the experiences we had together. Many people cried-- including myself-- at the Holy Sepulchre Church and at the end of the Passion Play in Oberammergau. I sense that many people also grew in their faith and spirituality, as a number came to me for confession and personal spiritual direction. They also expressed their thanks at the end of the pilgrimage, when we said farewell. I think everyone made many memories that they will be able to take with them and reflect upon in years to come. It was very important for people to see both the situation of the Christians in the Holy Land and witness the uniqueness of the Oberammergau Passion Play. These were very special experiences.

I don't think there were many problems to mention. The schedule was good and everything seemed to go smoothly. One matter that I should bring up is illness-- some of the pilgrims got sick and missed a few days because they had to stay back at the hotel and rest. I also got sick one morning, but was somehow able to persevere with the grace of God and do the Via Crucis with the group.

Finally, as with other pilgrimages I have been on, the people were extremely generous to me, their priest and spiritual director. They took good care of me and I was very grateful to them for this. I really enjoyed this group and hope to stay in touch with them. A number of them wanted to have a reunion sometime in the near future and we'll see if we can make that happen. On this pilgrimage, we had a newly married couple, families, couples, singles, older people, younger people, and me! It was quite diverse, but wonderful and everyone enjoyed each other's company!

I thank you all for your hard work for making this pilgrimage happen. You have provided us all with an invaluable experience that will be with us forever!!!! God bless you all and I hope to see you soon at the office!

Hello,

My name is Mary Catherine Gustilo, and I want to thank you for an extremely well organized pilgrimage. It was all I could have hoped for and more. In the 9-10 days, I felt that I had seen all of the sites important in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. A lot of credit should be also given to the guide Nabil. He is fantastic! His knowledge is very impressive and he is a lot of fun. I thought the days were well organized. I cannot believe no one else thinks to do the Via Delorosa early in the morning! I do not know if it was originally Nabil's idea or 206Tours but it is a great idea and experience. I was very happy that Nabil was also able to accommodate some of our group's interests along the way -- specifically bringing us to the Jordan river where half of our group renewed our baptismal vows. I loved having a priest in our group. Father David was a joy to be around. He has a great voice and speaks well in our discussions of a many topics. I, and my fellow pilgrims have asked that he let us know when he does a future tour with 206Tours.

Keep up the wonderful work.

God willing, I will return with the rest of my family.

Sincerely,

Catherine

Dear Milanka,

As I'm sure you know, George Said is a superb guide. He must be the best Christian guide in Israel!!!
Let me say that this was probably the best pilgrimage I've ever been on as a priest. The masses went so well at the various holy sites. Many people came to me for confession and counseling. I sensed also that a number of people had deep conversions to Christ on the pilgrimage.

We had a wonderful group of people; everyone enjoyed each other's company and it was a pleasantly diverse group: young and old, families and singles. It was really a blessed time together.
Claudia, our guide in Oberammergau, was delightful.

Many thanks and keep up the good work at 206 Tours!!!!!!

Wow! Moms and my pilgrimage to the holy land and oberammergau was an amazing spiritual experience for me. George was a very knowledgeable guide. Dear Rinda,

First let me say that the people we joined and Fr Nick, who we knew well, made our journey of faith very, very special. Our guide “George” and Coach driver “Salim” Are two of the nicest people you could meet. George’s knowledge and passion for his homeland and our faith is unparalleled, he was a font of information to a level of detail you couldn’t get from any book. At a practical level the choice of hotels was excellent, our coach was comfortable and clean and Salim our coach driver was much more than the driver. He made sure we didn’t walk any more than we needed to through his sometimes amazing manoeuvring of the coach into the tightest of spots and was there to help us with buying and specially making sure we got the best price possible. I am grateful to Salim for extending his services to take us of an afternoon back into Bethlehem. The arrangements were excellent and went without a hitch.

Thanking you,

God's choicest blessings.

I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity to be the spiritual director for the pilgrimage these past two weeks. It was a wonderful experience. People are wonderful especially for those who took care of us during the spiritual journey we had. Gema, our tour guide, was an excellent guide and really work hard to make it easy for all of us in terms of getting around and guiding us day to day events. Food and accommodations was outstanding. To discribe in one word regarding the pilgrimage is: OUTSTANDING!

206 Tours is doing a great job and I am recommending to my priest friends that if they would like to be a spiritual director for pilgrimage is to contact 206 Tours.

JOB WELL DONE!!!

I feel most fortunate to have visited the Holy Land as a pilgrim. It was a wonderful experience to walk in the very places where Our Lord once lived.

I am grateful that I could be a part of your well-planned pilgrimage, which enabled us to visit so many holy places - where Christ was born, where He healed, where He ate supper with His disciples, where He agonized in prayer, where He died. I also appreciated your arrangements for Mass to be celebrated each day at very special places.

Our guide in Israel, Youseph Eideh, was very knowledgeable in biblical history, and this contributed much to the spiritual significance of each of the places that we visited. There is nothing quite like hearing a biblical account of what happened at the very place where you are standing, in the Holy Land.

In Egypt also, our guide Ashraf Moses was knowledgeable and always helpful. His expertise in anthropology was especially appreciated as he guided us through the treasures of the Egyptian museum in Cairo, and at the pyramids of Memphis and Sakkara.

A highlight of our travel in Egypt was the visit to the Monastery of St. Catherine at Mt. Sinai, where we were given a tour of the Museum of Icons by its director, Father Justin. My thanks to you, Rinda, for granting my change to the April/May pilgrimage when the monastery was open, making this visit possible.

It was gratifying to be a part of this pilgrimage in the company of others who also came to see, to touch, to remember, to pray.

With many thanks for a memorable journey,

Maureen Molloy

Dear Rinda,

Words can not describe what we experienced on our pilgrimage to the Holy land, Rome and Turin. Our lives will be forever changed for the better. I would like to thank Yoseph Eideh our guide who truly puts his heart in his work. If there was any doubt in your mind as to where you were or what you were looking at or what had happened there Yoseph's knowledge of both the bible and his land brought at all too life. I will never be the same when I read the bible or hear sacred scripture because of him and and our experience in the Holy land. May God be with him and his family always.

Also I would like to thank 206 tours for giving us Father Joseph Arockiasamy as our spiritual director. Father Joe made each and every Mass we celebrated truly personal and unique. He is friendly, fun, easy to talk too and made you feel like part of his family. Thank you Father Joe. Also I would like to thank who has got to be the best driver in all of Israel. Mohamed hats off to you!

The local guides in Rome were also very nice and knowledgeable. To be in Saint Peter's square and see our Holy Father was awesome. On to Turin which is very beautiful to see the Shroud was like icing on the cake. It just put everything we had seen up until then in perspective.

There was a slight mix up when we got to Rome that I would like to say how Quickly 206 tours took care of it. AND they also sent us Beautiful flowers and an apology when we got home! Totally unnecessary but just goes to show that 206 Tours is a Class A organization. There is no other way to go on a Pilgrimage.

Thanks to everyone.

I just want to let you know the trip excelled my expectations. The tour guide, Youseph Eideh, was excellent, I gained so much knowledge from his explanations throughout the trip. Is priceless to obtain a better understanding of the gospels, and trying to visualize what happened during Jesus Christ stayed in this world.

The Mass celebrations with Father Joseph were also outstanding and very spiritual. Mass was celebrated in some the most solemn and holy places. It was just outstanding. So much to absorb. The hotel accommodations were also very nice. The complete service from the moment I arrived at Tel-Aviv was very good.

I would definitely consider booking my next Catholic pilgrimage with your agency.

Thank you and God Bless you too.

Greetings Rinda:

Now that all is settled and jet lag is a thing of the past, I just wanted to share my feedback on our (myself and my mother's) trip to Israel in April.

My original intent was to satisfy my mother's life long desire to visit the Holy Land to retrace the steps of Jesus. The end result was that I came away with a renewed and deepened faith; not only as it pertains to Catholicism, but to the genuine goodness of our fellow man.

Both Mom and I were so pleased that our group was relatively small (16 in all) and our spiritual guide, Father Diego, was a fabulous religious influence and fun at the same time. Our tour accomodations were perfect: large comfortable bus expertly piloted by Munsur (our driver) accompanied by our knowledgeable, friendly and experienced guide Nabil.

Other than the fabulous hotels, spectacular settings for daily Mass and perfect scheduling for the moving Stations of the Cross, I have to say that I've never met a more wonderful group of people than our fellow pilgrims. Everyone was friendly, caring and kind...particularly to my mom which made me so happy. Was that group created from someone's "fantasy list"?

My only observation to pass along is that there are no wash clothes in Israel (haa haa)...just in case it's important to future travelers.

Thank you again for an enriching trip of a lifetime. Be sure to keep Father Diego in mind for future 206 Tours. He was wonderful! Also, thank you for keeping my family back in the states informed of our whereabouts due to the flight cancellations and reroutes (who would think an Icelandic volcano would cause such chaos?)

Our best to you and the rest of the 206 Family,

Jan Krogstad and Mary Ann Leiper

Hi Rinda,

We are pleased to tell you that the trip was fantastic; everything we had hoped for and more. It is difficult to understand how we were able to experience so much in a 12 day period.

The tour guides were outstanding. In Israel, Nabil insured that every segment of the Holy Land pilgrimage was much more than adequately covered and still demonstrated the flexibility to include a few stops which although not on the tour description, were requested by our fellow pilgrims. His knowledge of the scriptures, both New and Old Testaments, and the manner in which he brought them to life at the various sites were remarkable; truly awe inspiring.

In Rome, an extremely knowledgeable Anthony provided historical prospectives at each site of which few if any of us were aware before the tour.

As a result of this pilgrimage, our personal spirituality achieved a significant level. Never again will we read or hear read a scripture passage as before; now they will be understood in a much more vibrant context due to our overwhelming experiences in the Holy Land and Rome.

We trust that the Lord will enable us to plan a future spiritual journey with 206 Tours.

Thank you again; God bless y'all.

Our guide, Nabil was excellent and really knew his stuff.  Our driver was very attentive and cordial. Fr Diego was perfect and we intend to keep in touch with him since we are both from Chicago. The number of people on our pilgrimage was a perfect size.  We saw many other groups that seemed too large for everyone to hear their guide.

Johnny did a good job under pretty difficult circumstances caused by the volcano.

The Olive Tree Hotel and the food were first class.

All of your Holy Land reps, Mr. Gabriel and Mark plus Joseph, the guide

For me, personally, this visit to the biblical lands was enriching. The

Dear Rinda,

My daughter and I just returned form the pilgrimage led by Father Timothy Backous, from St John's Preparatory School. In the last three years we have traveled with other tour agencies to London, Italy and Spain. By far, this has been the most educational, inspirational and well orchestrated of all the trips. Our local escort, Sami Tawil and our driver, Joe, made us feel safe and very welcomed.

Sami Tawil possesses an amazing knowledge base of the politics, history and spiritual significance of all the places we visited. He incorporated the applicable passages of Scripture to each specific site. This not only enriched our journey but brought Scripture to life for us in a way we will never forget. His personality, style of delivery and humor were delightful. It was a true joy to be in his company. I would request Sami for our escort for any future trips to the Holy Land. If it is in your authority, I recommend a raise/bonus and a special acknowledgement for Sami Tawil for a job very well done. I will also recommend 206 Tours to any potential pilgrims in my sphere of influence.

Our driver, Joe, was impressively skilled and a quiet delight. We were safe in his hands.

With regards to Father Timothy, there is no other spiritual leader I would want to lead my pilgrimage to the Holy Land. He is a gentle soul filled with the Holy Spirit. Thank you, 206 Tours, from a blessed and pleased pilgrim.

Peace in Christ,

Dear Milanka,

THANK YOU for the wonderful recommendation of SEVEN SUMMERS in the 206 Newsletter.  Thanks in no small part to you, we are already scheduling the second printing.  We have sold 75% of the first and have several big book-signing events coming up (including the one here in my own parish, this weekend) at which we are likely to sell out the rest.  We have not begun to advertise the book yet.  That starts later this month.  The real push with the book is just about to begin, and your recommendation is priceless.  It goes to a targeted audience, an audience predisposed to like the book.  That is huge.

Thank you, Milanka!  Someday, maybe, the Lord will give me an opportunity to give back to you some of what you have done for me, over the past dozen years.  You are a real friend.  And a major disciple.  I bless the day in autumn, 1998, that I first wrote to 206 Tours!

Great, great tour. Our guide Sami was so knowledgeable, he just MADE the tour. Whatever you pay him, he’s worth it- don’t lose him. Great food. Decent hotels except the first night-the Blue Bay on the Mediterranean Sea. Dirty, worn out rooms and not an example of anything else we experienced. Get rid of that one.

Overall, this was the best, well run tour we have ever been on.

We will be back and DEFINITELY use 206 again.

Subject: .....Tour 111, Holy Land, November 16 - 25, 2009

Dear Milanka, Rinda, Kristin, Stefanie and Cara,

With the help of our Lord Jesus and our Blessed Mother Mary, plus all the prayers from you and from family and friends, I was able to join the pilgrimage and stayed well throughout the trip. I am reminded of the Frank Sinatra song, "The Second Time Around", since I did the same 206 tour in November of 2008. It's a very special blessing to be able to revisit God's country. The second time around is "lovelier", " just as wonderful".......... It was another great and memorable spiritual experience!

I am again deeply touched by visiting all the places connected with Jesus and our Blessed Mother. It was an honor and privilege to do the reading at the Basilica of the Anunciation in Nazareth, where I did it also the year before. Since my husband Fred came with me for the first time, we had a marriage blessing at Cana, along with our friends, Art and Mely Lim. The daily Masses, whether it was done inside the Church, outside in a courtyard, or even in a hotel meeting room, were always so inspiring. It was great that Jack was able to get the 6 AM Mass for our group only at the Tomb of Christ in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The experience of participating in carrying the Cross at the Via Dolorosa is unforgettable.

Fr. John is a gem! He is spiritual, humble, caring, helpful and friendly. Everybody loves him! His homilies were very inspiring. The day before we left for the United States, we had the usual Mass for the 24th, and we had another special Mass at 6 PM that day, plus the blessing of all our religious items. That was also when we received the gifts from 206 tours (beautiful cross-shaped pendant with the loaves and fishes plus the signed certificate of our visit to the Holy Land). Afterwards, we stayed in the same meeting room for a while, to view the copy of the Shroud of Turin, which belongs to co-pilgrim Joseph, who had it blessed at the Chapel of the Crucifixion at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Thank you, Joseph for sharing this with us.

Our tour guide, Jack is very knowledgeable, caring, passionate and sincere. He always asked Father John to do a short reading or a short prayer at most of the religious places we visited. One day, Jack had to take care of funeral arrangement for a beloved cousin, and we had a substitute guide named Hannah, and he did a great job. Despite the deep grief felt by Jack, he continued to do excellent work.

Mahmoud was an excellent driver. He always had a smile and a helping hand.

It's definitely great to travel with good friends. Meeting other people and making friends with them is the icing on the cake.
Ours was a very special group of pilgrims! Thanks to all my co-pilgrims for their love, kindness and generosity. May our paths meet again in the future!

The accommodations and food (breakfasts and dinners) at the hotel were also great. Every day, I enjoyed the tuna salad, the baked eggplant, the fresh pear and other fruits and the delicious desserts. For lunch, we had the St. Peter's fish once, falafel or chicken with salad and drink once, different foods at 2 kibbutz restaurants, and local dishes twice just outside Bethlehem.

Thanks to all of you for all the regular and special arrangements for this very special pilgrimage! The 206 tote bag is great, especially with the outside pockets. Thank God, we did not need the poncho you sent us. The Lufthansa flights between Washington Dulles, Frankfurt and Tel Aviv were OK. Coming in from Frankfurt, there was a long line (airline transfers) for customs, but everything ended up well, and we were all able to get on our plane for Charleston.

It was another blessed pilgrimage for me, and I thank you for it. I feel that if a person can take only one pilgrimage in a lifetime, the Holy Land should be their choice. I will definitely share my beautiful experiences with my family and friends. Although many of them are not able yet to join in the pilgrimages, they already know that a Catholic pilgrimage with 206 tours is the way to go.

You are all part of a most wonderful ministry, and may God continue to bless you and your company.

Love, joy and peace,

Brenda

Rinda,

Our lives have been enriched by the wonderful experience of visiting the Holy Land of Israel. This is our second pilgrimage with 206Tours (Italy in 2007) and we will not use any other Catholic Tour groups for our future pilgrimages. 206Tours does a magnificent job of providing a deep spiritual journey with an educational perspective and a "see the country" experience. It was truly a blessed trip for us and the Bible came alive as never before.

We especially want to give praise to our Catholic tour guide, Nabil, who was energetic, informative and deeply spiritual. He carried and read from the Bible throughout the trip and brought together the history of each site in relation to our Christian heritage. Nabil kept our group moving and got us in front of crowds on several occassions. We especially appreciated getting out early for the Via Dolorosa and Church of the Holy Sepulcher. He did a great job.

Our driver Raouf also was very professional and friendly. He did an excellent job getting in and out of all the tight places and was always there to greet us.

We feel especially blessed to have had the spiritual guidance of Fr. Charles Puthota. We can say enough good words in praise of our pilgrimage. Keep up the good work and we will pray for you, and recommend you, of course, to everyone considering a pilgrimage.

God Bless
Mary & Paul

Hello,
This was my first time to the Holy Land & I would like to thank 206 Tours for making it a life transforming experience. Prior to this, the places of the Bible were just arbitrary names, but (thanks to my pilgrimage experience) after having encountered them, for me, the Bible (the Rosary, Angelus) has come alive. I'll never look at Scripture the same way again!
Our spiritual advisor, Monsignor Kenneth Steffen, was brilliant in his organization and preparation in leading us every step of the way. He is a very holy priest whose love for Christ & souls is evident in his charity & zeal. We were also extremely fortunate to have Fares Saba (an Israeli Christian from Nazareth) as our guide. Fares is extremely knowledgeable & gifted at what he does and didn’t miss a beat in explaining A to Z about all the holy sites.
Great job 206 for organizing a great pilgrimage & co-ordinating a brilliant team!

Sincerely,

Mark

Meals great and more than enough
Ferris (our guide) was knowledgeable, courteous and patient
Mons. Steffen provided for our spiritual needs

Con: needed 3 plane changes both ways very strenuous on a 70 y/o esp. running to get next flight. Please, 1:30 min not enough time esp if plane late and had to go from domestic to international terminals and customs

Other than that very pleased with experience.

Hi Rinda,

This was my first trip to the Holy Land and also my first pilgrimage. It really was a life-changing experience! I am especially blessed to have had Fares Saba as the tour guide. It was wonderful to learn from an Arab Catholic who was actually from Nazareth. He gave me insight into what it is like to be one of the few Christians in the Holy Land, and was very knowledgeable about every person/place we visited. He even went out of his way to arrange a visit with the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. After listening to Fares and meeting other Catholics in the country, I now feel a strong solidarity with my fellow Christian brothers thousands of miles away. The Catholic Church truly is universal.
I also want to thank Msgr Steffen for leading our group. He celebrated beautiful daily Masses, prayed the Angelus and Rosary with us each day, and explained the biblical passages related to each site we visited. Without him, it wouldn't have been a real pilgrimage so thanks be to God for giving us a wonderful priest!
This pilgrimage reinforced my faith and was a blessing in every way. Thank you 206 Tours!!

Sincerely,

Suzanne

Hi Rinda,
Just a quick note about our trip. It was fabulous, Spiritual rewarding etc. Our tour guide was the best and Fr Gary was the icing on the cake. He was rewarding and inspirational.
Downside of the trip: 5 am flight from Israel could have been later if possible and in your pre trip instructions you suggested shekels. Every item was priced in dollars.
Taking a trip with 206 tours again ABSOLUTELY.
Would I recommend 206 tours you bet I will.

Hello,

My mother and I were on the Holy Land pilgrimage in June 2009. Father Philip Pavich was our spiritual director and George Said was our guide. The pilgrimage greatly exceeded our expectations. Father Philip, a Franciscan, has many contacts in the Holy Land from the years that he lived there. He and George were both very knowledgeable and generous in sharing their contacts - Father Philip with the Franciscans who run the Catholic sites, and George with the Catholic community in Nazareth, Bethlehem and Jerusalem. In addition to all the fascinating sites included in the tour, we also visited a church that was not on the itinerary (the Milk Grotto in Bethlehem) and received a private guided tour by a Franciscan priest at the church.

The accommodations and food were of excellent quality. The service at the first hotel in Bat Yam (Mercure Suites - one night only) was not very attentive, but the hotels in Nazareth (Golden Crown) and Jerusalem (Olive Tree) were modern, spacious and very comfortable.

The Holy Land itself is an unparalleled destination for Catholics. It was extremely moving to see the actual sites of Jesus' life, miracles, death and resurrection. Learning about the role the Franciscans have played in securing these sites over the centuries was fascinating. Father Philip's spiritual guidance, masses and homilies greatly enhanced the experience of visiting the Catholic sites. I would highly recommend this tour to other pilgrims.

Sincerely,

Dear Milanka,

All of the time and effort put into the 2009 Holy Land Pilgrimage was well worth it.  The trip exceeded everyone's expectations, I believe.  At the least, it exceeded mine and I know that Fr. Tim was very happy overall and the comments I received from the pax were all more than positive.

Our guide, Joseph, did a splendid job.  His depth of knowledge and caring was extraordinary.  Ramzi, our driver, was cordial, friendly and highly competent.  The sites we visited were overwhelming in their Christian importance and the spiritual feelings that they invoked.  We were oftentimes moved close to tears by many of them.  For me, touching the slab that Jesus laid on, after His crucifixion, in the Holy Sepulchre brought a flood of emotions.

Our hotels were excellent.  The food was well-prepared and in abundance.  The staffs were friendly and competent.

The lady who had the kidney stone attack, finished the pilgrimage without further incident.  A huge thank you goes to Joseph for using his connections at the Nazareth hospital to get a quick diagnosis of her condition.

This was my first pilgrimage in 3 years due to illness.  I came home exhausted, but with a greater sense of connection with my lord Jesus Christ and my Church.

Many thanks to all of the folks at your office and those on the ground in Israel for making this pilgrimage extra special.

Now on the 2010 in Spain and Portugal.

Dear Rinda,

I hope this email finds you well.

Permit me the opportunity to thank you and all the staff at 206 Tours for a wonderful pilgrimage to The Holy Land in March.

As a young seminarian faced with the many challenges and opportunities that being a discerning seminarian hold, I continue to be enriched with a sense of renewal and affirmation as I reflect upon the spiritual experience of the places we visited. The renewal of Baptismal promises in the Jordan River at the foot of Mt. Hermon, the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in Bethlehem, walking the Via Dolorosa, the beauty of the people and cultures, the spiritual guidance of Fr. Joseph, the joyfulness of my brother and sister pilgrims, etc. I hope to return to Israel again one day and encourage everyone to do so as well.

Again, I am sincerely grateful for your generosity, professionalism and support.

Pray for the peace of Israel.

Yours very truly,

Rinda,

Thanks for allowing me to be the spiritual director for our "Once and lifetime Pilgrimage" to Israel. It was certainly a wonderful preparation for the Sacred Triduum, beginning with this evening's Liturgy of the Lord's Supper which I will be celebrating in the little Church of St. Ann in Howardstown, Ky., a small hamlet in the southern section of Nelson Co. about 20 miles south of Bardstown, the county seat. Our group of Pilgrims were diverse in both age and places of origin; Italian, Philippines, New York  City, Florida, Kentucky and California.

The highlights expressed by most was the renewal of Baptismal promises at the foot of Mt Hermon at the springs there, the source of the Jordan River way up in the Golan Heights; the renewal of marriage vows at Cana; reflecting on the teaching of Jesus while sailing on the sea of Galilee; walking the Via Dolorosa in the Old City of Jerusalem; and particularly the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at Bethlehem, in the Holy Sepulcher, Palm Sunday in the Church of the Good Shepherd in Jericho with the parishioners there, and in the church in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Our guide was most knowledgeable as well as entertaining.

Again, my best to all at 206 Tours. A Holy and Happy Easter to you all!

Your religious tours have enriched me over the years as well as the many who have traveled with me. I am ever grateful for the opportunities you have given me and I hope I have met the expectations of those whom I have tried to serve.

Dear Kristen,

It is great to be home but I already miss the wonderful people I met on the pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Julie and Fr. Brian. I never expected the glory of the trip and the friendships that developed from all the pilgrims. Jack the guide was wonderful , knowledgeable of all the areas we visited but mostly a wonderful caring and spirit full man . He was always looking out for our welfare and guided us through the entire trip with professional respect. He is certainly a "Keeper" and should be commended for his job. Omar the bus driver was beyond great and very caring for us all.

I sit back and think of all the places we visited and my mind just swims with joy knowing that Jesus walked here, preached here and died here . The highlight was the Mass at the Holy Tomb of Christ was beyond words to describe . Special , inspired by God, blessed by the Holy Spirit, a once in a life time experience, thank you for all of this and the many hours  you and Julie worked on this most unforgettable experience for me and the other pilgrims. I sleep dreaming of all that I have seen and enjoyed.

I'm looking forward to next year and maybe a surprise trip for our growth in spirit and prayer.

Many thanks to you and your staff.

and protected as we walked toward God. The knowledge and deeper convictions of God's merciful love and faithfulness down through the centuries were palpable.

Dear Kristin,

I wanted to let you know how much I have appreciated all your support for the success of my recent group Pilgrimage to Israel. We had a glorious time!

The way was truly prepared for us to take advantage of our intention to "walk in the footsteps of Jesus."

Salah (our guide) and Reshad (our driver) took expert care of us. Salah's wisdom was evident in his historical presentations and he provided me ample time to do the sacred teachings that were mine to give at each site we visited. He took care of all our logistics in a professional way and always adapted to every request I made of him. I'm also grateful that I had the opportunity to have dinner at his home and meet his lovely wife and beautiful boys. Our whole group was blessed and grateful to the many ways each of them expressed their love of Israel and their respect of us.

I'm also grateful for the support we received from Guiding Star Tours. I was able to meet with one of their representatives upon our arrival in Jerusalem as well as receive our farewell message and gift from their 'founding father.' It was a nice touch to the end of our tour.

As you know, the only source of our difficulty was the return routing back to the United States. It was a 'rough landing' for most of us. However, I do understand that in these times of reduced schedules by the air carriers, adjustments must be made. This situation does not takes away from the true value of all that was given and received during our Pilgrimage.

Again, I'm deeply grateful for each and every person who provided such wonderful service to us throughout our journey. I would highly recommend 206 Tours and it's affiliated partners to anyone in the future.

Gracious blessings,

Dear Rinda & Staff,

It's no wonder you didn't block my phone calls prior to our trip to the Holy Land, because I gave you such grief. My wife has always wanted to go to the Holy Land, and I would always find a reason not to, because I never felt comfortable with all the trouble in that area of the world. However, in a weaker moment, we decided to book in the beginning of 2008 for the Jan '09 trip.

All went well until about a week prior to us leaving....then the Gaza dispute broke, and missiles were flying, and tanks were rolling. I might mention my stomach was rolling also! And that's about the time I began badgering Rinda.

Well, I'll save the details, we went, we were perfectly safe, and I would have to say, this was the most memorable trip I have ever taken! Our guide, George was a wealth of information, and the driver Tony was exceptionally pleasant. We also had the advantage of being a small group, able to go where larger groups could not. It was wonderful!

Valerie and I love vacationing, and have been travelling since we were married 40 years ago, but I will never forget this trip, it has enriched our lives so much, and Rinda, thanks for your patience and understanding.

Dear Rinda and Staff,
Words are inadequate to express our sincere thanks and joy, for enabling us to make this pilgrimage to the Holy Land, such a memorable one We just can't express our feelings. This memorable and treasured experience has brought back childhood memories. Then, we never in the wildest of dreams thought that we would have this opportunity to tread the very holy paths that Christ has trod.
Needless to say, when Fr. Wency first sounded us about the Pilgrimage,, we were a bit apprehensive about participating. Nevertheless his persuasion to join helped us make it, never ever to be forgotten.
Our flights right through were smooth and free of any problems. We met the rest of the group at TelAvieve and George Sa'id our wonderful guide and Tony Hosh our driver were there to greet us and accompany us to the first Hotel. Everything, accommodation, food etc, etc. were very good all along. George is so well informed and knowledgeable in the Scriptures and the history of the Holy Land . George is the BEST. All in all we felt like one family after we got to know each other. Everything, starting with where Fr. Wencey was to say Mass each day and the places we were to have a snack etc. were well prearranged in advance by George. Tony on the other hand, very cheerfully drove us to all the places carefully and safely. He always had the words "no problem on his lips" to put us at ease. They both were very tolerant and helpful. Fr Wency had come prepared with a prayer book for each of us for the morning prayers as soon as we got on the bus and George had a Gospel ready for each day which he read very reverently. We were happy to meet your representative Gabriel in the Holy Land, who spoke to us of the importance of Christians making this Pilgrimage, and we sure will speak about it to our friends and encourage them to go to the Holy Land. It was also a joy to meet the parishioners in a small parish where the Sunday Mass was concelebrated. The Strength of their faith, strengthened our faith even more.
So, with renewed thanks for all your help and assurance of prayers that more and more Christians may be inspired to make this hallowed and treasured Pilgrimage, we conclude this note with a big

"God Bless You and the 206 tours." always.

Dear Milanka, Rinda and Staff.
It has been a life time experience here in Holy Land. I must congratulate you for having arranged for us such a wonderful pilgrimage. The holy sites remind us of our childhood faith. Lord says 'Unless you become like little children you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.' It has been a wonderful experience of reinvigorating and reenergizing our faith. Although soon we will wind up our trip but it has made us to think how the plan of God in Jesus came to be fulfilled in a unique way in this part of the world.
The weather, the hotels, food and water were excellent. Our tour guide George Sa'id was superb. He is very witty, man of faith and knowledgeable. As a trained guide he had been very helpful. We have had no problems at all all through the journey.
Although there is political tension underway between Israelis and Palestinians.. No way, did we feel the impact of it. People here are used to it. They say it is part of their history. We got to pray for a peaceful settlement of their issues.
Everybody was so cordial and helpful to make our trip a success. The 206 tours local staff has been wonderful. They have asked us to pray for the peace in this land and specially for minority Christians who are struggling and demoralized. They not only need our prayers but much more our presence by undertaking pilgrimages. which will help their economy and boost morale. May Prince of Peace guide and protect them.

Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Hello Rinda and staff,

Reached Tel Aviv safely yesterday at 3:30 local time. George, the local guide was at the airport to pick us up. Surprisingly, it was a union at the airport all the pilgrims landed by the same plane. Although they came by different flights to Frankfurt but boarded the same plane to Tel Aviv. The George took us straight to Joppa where St. Peter stayed with Simon the Taner before he set sail to Rome. In the adjacent Church I offered Mass. Thereafter we were driven to hotel at Tel Aviv.

Today we left from Tel Aviv to Ceasarea to see the ruins of king Herod's palace and amphitheater from there we drove to Mount Carmel where Prophet Elija had killed the false prophets of god Baal. from there we moved to Stella Maris (Star of the Sea, Marian Shrine) went to see the city of Haifa one of the famous biblical cities on the Mediterranean. (the cave where prophet Elija hid and offered sacrifice to God, now the shrine of Mount Carmel stands on the top of the cave). Proceeded to Cana where the couples renewed their marriage vows in the place where Jesus had performed his first miracle; changed water into wine. Around evening we came to the Basilica of Annunciation to offer Mass adjacent to the house of Mary, where Mary was given the message by the archangel Gabriel. Saw the well where she would draw water. Visited the carpentry shop of St. Joseph, Thus the day ended with a lot of spiritual and historical experience. Now we are in the hotel at Nazareth. Tomorrow will be a day to visit places like sea of Tiberius, perhaps we will be taking a boat ride where Jesus gave explicit command to Peter that he would now no longer be a fisherman rather fisher of men . Arrangement has been made to have the Mass on the shore.

Thank God so far there is nothing untoward has happened beyond Gaza, The security in the streets of the cities is very tight, one sees the police and army personnel armed with heavy guns. Pray that there is peace in this region.

So far arrangements have been excellent. Our tour guide is highly knowledgeable.
The weather is fantastic. Hope you all are fine. I pray for you specially during this journey.
O.K. then, bye for now.

God bless you.

HI RINDA! THANK YOU FOR WELCOMING ME BACK, OUR HOLY LAND TRIP WAS AWESOME AND THIS TRIP WAS EVER THE BEST PILGRIMAGE EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS MY SECOND PILGRIMAGE WITH 206 TOURS AND WE HAD A VERY INTERESTING GROUP AND EACH ONE HAD DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE IN A DIFFERENT LEVEL AND OUR TOUR GUIDE RAMON/RAHMAN WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND OUR DRIVER NASSI WAS A VERY SAFE/EXCELLENT DRIVER.

THE MAJOR FOCAL POINTS OF OUR PILGRIMAGE WHICH WERE THE HOLY NATIVITY, CALVARY/CRUCIFIXION AND JESUS' TOMB TRULY TOUCHED ME AND FELT GOD'S PRESENCE. THE ST. PETER'S CHURCH IN GALLICANTU WAS BEAUTIFUL AND THE MT. TABOR'S CHURCH WITH THE BREATHTAKING SITE WAS MAGNIFICENT. OUR TOUR GUIDE BROUGHT US TO LUNCH PLACES THAT SERVED US THEIR AUTHENTIC DISHES AND IT WAS GREAT ALTHOUGH WE HAD THOSE FALAFEL SANDWICHES TWO LUNCHES IN A ROW AND THE BEST HOTEL WE HAD (OLIVE TREE HOTEL), SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND THE BUFFET BREAKFAST/DINNER WERE FABULOUS!!!! IN OUR LAST DAY, WE WERE ABLE TO DO SOME SHOPPING NEAR THE HOLY SEPULCHER, OF COURSE, LET ME NOT FORGET ABOUT FATHER LARSON, HE WAS AMAZING WITH OUR DAILY MASSES AND HIS HOMILIES WERE MOVING ENOUGH THAT I CAN'T WAIT TO HAVE ANOTHER PILGRIMAGE WITH HIM IN THE FUTURE, THAT WOULD BE MY PROJECT!!! I WAS ABLE TO HAD A CONFESSION WITH ONE OF THE FRANCISCAN FRIARS IN THE HOLY SEPULCHER AND HOW I WISH I COULD HAVE STAYED THERE FOR HOURS TO PRAY BUT BECAUSE OF THE NOT SO SAFE WALK BACK TO THE HOTEL, WE ONLY STAYED THERE FOR AN HOUR OR SO BEFORE THE SUNSET BREAKS.

LASTLY, MY FLOATING IN THE DEAD SEA WITH MY STREET CLOTHES WAS A TOTALLY FUN AND I DID NOT PLAN TO DO THAT BUT I WAS SO MOVED THAT LITERALLY I PLUNGED MYSELF IN THE WATER. IT WAS THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE. I THINK EACH ONE OF US JUST NEED TO LET SELF FREELY OPENS TO GOD'S INVITATION BY ACCEPTING AND TRULY COMMUNE WITH HIM AND BY PLUNGING IN THE DEAD SEA WATER WAS AN OPENER FOR ME.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND MAY YOU AND YOUR STAFF AND YOUR FAMILIES HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!!!!

GOD BLESS US ALL,

Greetings to all,

Thank all of you at 206 Tours for your hard work to put together this incredible pilgrimage to the Holy Land.  I regret I waited so long to travel to this holy place.  I hope I will be able to go again. Our guide Joseph was very knowledgeable about the entire history of the Holy Land.  Thanks to Joseph I will continue to expand my  knowledge of my faith.  He was very gracious and had a great sense of  humor.  He made us feel like valued guests instead of a group of  strangers.  Also thanks to Tony, our driver. This was my second pilgrimage with 206 Tours and I highly recommend 206 Tours for anyone who wants a spiritual journey.  My experiences  have been wonderful.  I have met many wonderful people through the journeys--fellow pilgrims, guides, spiritual leaders, drivers and  others.

I look forward to my next 206 Tour.

May the Peace and Joy of the Holy Family be with all of you and all

those you hold dear.

Subject: The Holy Land and Egypt - November

Good morning Rinda:

I had a wonderful pilgrimage!  I completely enjoyed myself from beginning to end and felt completely safe!  Joseph Eideh, our tour guide in Israel, was awesome.  He was very informative about the history of each of the holy places as well as a great guy to have met.  Tony, our bus driver, was fantastic.  It's difficult for me to put words to my experience.  It touched me beyond belief.  We didn't have a whole lot of time at each of the sites, but I know it was because we were trying to fit in as much as possible in a few days.  I'm definitely making plans to go back to Israel and have Joseph & Tony apart of the team again.  It was incredible!!!

In Egypt, our tour guide was Max & he too was fantastic explaining the history at each of the sites.  Kiro, our tour escort from the Sinai Peninsula through to Cairo was wonderful.  He took care of getting all our visas & did a wonderful job overall.  I didn't catch the driver's name, but for as crazy as traffic is in Cairo, he did a great job getting us everywhere.  It was absolutely amazing to see the pyramids & the Sphinx.

I would (& have) recommend this tour to friends & family.  It was the first time I've ever left the country & it was AMAZING!  The local people were all very friendly and an absolute pleasure to meet.

The only thing I would do differently is I would prefer not to fly with United Airlines again.  What should've been a 40 minute flight home from Chicago turned turned into a 28-hour flight.  There were a lot of problems & reps for United didn't really keep us abreast of the issues.  A few of the problems were a result of the weather here in Michigan, which I know United has no control over, but there were also a lot of mechanical problems with the plane.  I felt their customer service was severely lacking.  The flight attendant was wonderful.  All the passengers were really very frustrated with the whole situation but she remained friendly, helpful & bent over backwards to put us first.  Unfortunately I don't remember her name, but she made the whole situation a little more palatable.

The flight from Chicago to home aside, the trip overall was tremendous & I didn't really want to come home.  The tour staff in both places were the best and very helpful.  I truly appreciate the opportunity to make this pilgrimage & am looking forward to doing it again through 206 Tours.

Thank you for everything.

Dear Milanka and Rinda,

Thanks to all of you at 206 tours for this wonderful pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I have just experienced the ultimate pilgrimage!

This was my very first pilgrimage to this holy place, and I can't believe I waited so long to go there. What continued to come to mind was: Ad Jesum per Mariam, which means "To Jesus Through Mary". I have visited many shrines of our Blessed Mother Mary and also that of the Infant Jesus of Prague and the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Poland, before I saw the Holy Land, where Christianity began. It was just like our Blessed Mother led me to go on this pilgrimage.

If one can only do a single pilgrimage in their lifetime, it should definitely be that of the Holy Land. It's God's Country! There were only 13 pilgrims, with Fr. Neil Buchlein as the Spiritual Director. Joseph, our tour guide, was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable and he also had a great sense of humor. For our daily Masses, there was no need for a Eucharistic Minister, but I felt so honored to do the Reading and Responsorial Psalm twice, one at the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth and the other at the Church of St. Lazarus in Bethany. It was humbling to see all those places mentioned in the Bible. For me, the other highlights were the Mass and the visitation of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Mass at the Basilica of the Agony (The Rock of the Agony upon which Jesus prayed and sweated blood the night before His arrest, is located in front of the Altar), the Way of the Cross at 6 AM (we were the only pilgrims there), the Mass outside the Church of St. Peter's Primacy (overlooking the Sea of Galilee, where Fr. Neil gave the most beautiful meditation), the visit to the Church of the Beatitudes and its beautiful surroundings, the awesome panoramic view of Ein Karem from the beautiful Church of the Visitation with the colorful plaque tiles of Magnificat in different languages, the boat ride at the Sea of Galilee, and the visit to the Church of the Pater Noster on the Mount of Olives (where we saw the richly decorated colorful tile plaques of Our Father in different languages).

We were just around the altar during all the Masses. It was such a great feeling, especially at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Basilica of the Agony.

Although we were a very small group, we used a regular bus and we had an excellent driver named Tony. The weather was also very nice. Travelling there in November is great!

It was a first visit for the majority of us in the group. It's great to have made new friends! There were five of us, who became part of the Falafel Club, because we ordered falafel for at least 4 or 5 of the lunches during the 10-day tour. The best hotel was the Olive Tree Hotel in Jerusalem. It also had the best food.

Thank you very much and I hope to travel with 206 tours again.

May God continue to bless all of you!

Love, joy and peace,

Brenda

Milanka,

I can't stress enough that you have a real find in our guide Mourad.  He is absolutely amazing.  When you are with him, you think of Jesus.  Like Our Lord, he is a native of Nazareth, a very devout Christian.  A very peaceful, caring, faith-filled man.  Very patient and caring with each individual pilgrim, giving special attention to those who need it.  Always attentive to the needs of the pilgrims, and very respectful to the priests.  When he greeted us at the airport, he welcomed us as his guests by giving each of us a gift: a package of mustard seeds, which immediately got us thinking about what Our Lord said re having faith the size of a mustard seed.  He also has a master's degree in archeology and is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the holy sites.  I hope he will be available for 206 pilgrimages in the future.

Thank you so much for this tremendous, life-changing experience!

God bless,

My apologies for the delay in sending this note.

Our pilgrimage is wonderful and full of blessings, and my expectations were all met in very respects. Lots of thanks to 206 Tours  and its staff. We had excellent and knowledgeable  guides in Israel and Egypt. Your representative in Israel is very generous!  Sam (your Egypt representative) did a very excellent job in attending to our needs.  Also, both our drivers in Israel and Egypt are great and caring. The hotels and services (food, etc)  are excellent as well.

Personally, I look forward, God willing, to be able to take future spiritual  journeys with 2006 Tours.
Once again, thank you and God Bless You!

Hello Kristin,

We are back.  We had a marvelous and awesome pilgrimage.  Thank you, Jesus and Mama Mary. Thanks to 206 Tours specifically to you and Milanka.

Several days before departure, I prayed that the Lord give us the same guide as when we were in Israel in 2000.  I didn't remember his name but I could picture his face clearly.  We got to Ben Gurion Airport and lo and behold, the guide who met us was Waleed Hazzan, the guide I've been  praying for.  God knew the desires of my heart and I trusted in Him.

Waleed is an exceptional guide, very knowledgeable, explained things so clearly, he made the bible come alive.  Some called him a walking Encyclopedia.  Everyone in the group was so impressed with him that they said if they came back to Israel, they'd request for Waleed to be their guide again.

Our driver Ramzi has super driving skills.  We felt comfortable in the bus knowing he is our driver.  On top of that, he is kind, gentle, patient and very helpful, sensitive to the needs of the group.

The hotels in Israel were excellent, had great service.  The extra day in Bat-Yam was so relaxing, an opportunity to stroll the beach and enjoy the stunning views.

The same holds true for our stay in Egypt. Our guide Moussa is very knowledgeable and informative, has a good sense of humor. Our escort, Sam is patient and understanding, and sensitive to the needs of the group as well.  Our driver, Sayed is a safe driver, friendly and smiled a lot. The hotels in Egypt were very good.

The whole pilgrimage was a great blessing to all of us.  We were touched and experienced God in different ways.  We came back refreshed, renewed, and with a deeper knowledge of Him, our great God, our Lord and Savior.

Thank you again for everything.  May the Lord continue to use your company to bring people closer to the Lord.

Serving Him together,

Grace M

Dear Ms. Shea,

Our Holy Land pilgrimage was overall wonderful and spiritually touching.  There were positive aspects as well as negative ones.  But overall, the experience spiritually was there.  This was especially true praying at the Western Wall and doing the Stations of the Cross on Via Dolorosa.  There was also the historical appreciation for this ancient land.  This was made possible because our Guides, Waleed in Israel and Moses in Egypt, understood our quest and provided the historical ambiance as well as the spiritual setting and we savored this experience.  Our drivers were efficient and got us to places safely and securely.  I would also like to praise our coordinator, Grace for her sheparding for Seattle and back.  When two of our members including my wife got sick, she was there for us.

The negative side of things was that the commercialism was all around and very distracting.  This was the difference when compared with our pilgrimage to Medjugorje.  Of course, Holy Land had 2000 years of commercialism in comparison.

If the visiting of foreign lands expands one’s experience as compared to the experience of those who reside there, this visit to this ancient land provides the spiritual depth on one’s faith as compared to those whose faith has been established there.

Of course, when my wife and I think pilgrimage, we shall think of 206.

Sincerely yours,

Luis & Julie A.

Dear Ms. Kanidinc,

This was a very well organized pilgrimage (my third with 206). A truly inspiring journey. Our guide was absolutely outstanding - Jack Halis, a Catholic Arab whose family has resided in Palestine for the past 200 years. His scriptural and historical commentary was excellent and well researched. Fr. Serrano also commented that Mr. Halis was the best guide he has ever worked with.
We were fortunate to have had perfect weather the entire time, a bit warmer though than I expected (25' - 43'C).

Best regards and thank you for a great tour.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Father Jack, my fellow pilgrims, Sammy and Ali and 206 Tours (Linda , who was my contact   and a big help) and Gabriel for making this Pilgrimage to the Holy Land a memorable one for Prem and me.
I am sure we all agree that Sammy "for sure" is the best  guide and Ali the best driver in all of Israel!

I can't believe how  smoothly everything went from day to day... and if there is one thing that maybe could have been  different- was  the temperature, but I figured God wanted the Arizona folks to be right at home with the heat  and he threw in a little humidity for good measure, so we sweated it out a little!
Can't complain too much can we?

All of us may have carried some Cross, big or small,  on this journey.. some bodily crosses, like hurting hips, bad knees and legs, sore muscles, exhaustion from the heat, diabetes, high cholesterol, blood pressure, problems with heart, lung, kidney or skin or crosses of the mind and soul... broken relationships with God, family and friends, problems with kids, harboring past hurts....
Whatever our Cross maybe, how small it may seem when compared to the pain and suffering and death on the Cross Jesus endured to save us.
My prayer for us all, is that as we journeyed along with Jesus on the Via Dolorosa we received the grace to accept our small Crosses willingly and may we all have received the grace of healing and reconciliation.

When our daughter asked us what was the single best part- we both said everything.. and then when she pinned us down to pick one, I picked the Mount of Beatitudes, thanks to a comment Ranie made. As we were rushing around like chicken with plucked feathers, Ranie said "How about pausing and taking it in" and I did just  that- I closed my eyes, placed my self on the Mountain side along with the multitudes and heard  Jesus teaching the Beatitudes (my favorite part), and I did not want to leave.
Like Father Jack said, if we had to pick a part of the Gospels that we chose to live our lives by.. it would be Matthew Chapters 5-7.
I also felt so honored doing the readings at Mass on the Shores of Galilee.. thank you Father Jack for asking me. Lectoring at Church for me now will never be the same.. each time I will be transported to the Shores of Galilee... what an awesome feeling!
How lucky we were to have had Masses at so many special sites- starting with Mass at Hotel Mercure the first night and ending with the Garden of Gethsemane the last day with Masses in between at the Church of the Annunciation, Shores of Galilee ( Peter's Primacy), on Mount Tabor, (Scene of the Transfiguration),  Church of the Nativity, on Mount Calvary(Church of the Holy Sepulchre) and in Bethany, home of Mary , Martha and Lazarus.
I could go on and on.. but  I can hear Father Jack whispering in my ear.. watch out, don't be obnoxious...
That was  real good advice, as we guard ourselves from getting carried away  and boring our friends with endless descriptions.
To imitate the hospitality that Mary and Martha extended in Bethany to Jesus and his friends, we would like to invite you to come     and visit us if you happen to be in Boston or NJ. We have room for you in our Inn. I take the liberty to extend this invitation on behalf of Joe, Valsa, Elsie, Ranie, Prem and myself.
I loved the way Father ended each Mass with "I love you all", so that is what I want to end with.. "I love you all"

Dear 206 Tours,

First, I would like to thank you for guiding me safely through the Holy Land and bringing me back to the States alive. Needless to say, I did have some apprehensions, but I felt perfectly at ease with a knowledgeable tour guide and itinerary.

Also, having seen my flight schedule, I was dismayed at the number of connections that I needed to reach my destination.  Never having flown Austrian Airlines, I was in for a big surprise. They were wonderful! Even though each flight had a late departure, I never missed a single connection, nor was forced to sit at the airport for lengthy lay-overs. The service, meals/entertainment, aircraft comfort and amenities were terrific!

Father Gilbert, the spiritual director of the tour, was truly inspired, and inspiring. With previous religious pilgrimages (not affiliated with 206tours), the accompanying priest seemed to be there for " a free ride." Father Tom Gilbert was a joy! I would highly recommend getting him "on board" for future trips, as his presence was a great asset.

Thank you. also, for finding a roommate for me. We got along just fine, and, I saved money on the single-room supplement.

The hotels that were chosen for our pilgrimage trip were undeniably superior tourist class. Unfortunately. because of our schedules, we did not have time to enjoy the pool and health club facilities.

I was very pleased with my 206 tour and applaud the organization required to make such a fascinating tour run smoothly.
Let me also thank you for your cap - the heat started to burn the part in my hair, and I used it frequently! The cross is artistically very tasteful and the certificate, which I have framed already, and both beautiful souvenirs of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

I would highly recommend 206tours to anyone. God bless you and your entire team.

Sincerely,

Our tour guide, Jack, was not Only * very knowledgable about the country and sites visited, but his timing so we didn't wait in long lines, along with his personal care for each of our needs was amazing. His love of Christ and desire for us to remain focused on Him throughout the trip was such a gift. Being able to have Mass with Fr.Anthony at each of the holy sites was another

We would travel with 206Tours again.

Sincerely,

Consuelo S.

Subject: HOLY LAND TOUR #111 MAY 11-20, 2008

Hi Milanka,

I just want to know if you received the note I sent you May 26,2008. Enclosed with the short letter I composed in a hurry  attesting to the excellent tour guide (George Said) and bus driver (Joseph) you had provided us on our latest pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Below the short note are the signatures of the members of our large group 43 people who were as happy and satisfied for the excellent service that George and Joseph rented us.  We could not have better people - courteous, patient, respectful and just plain nice people. We highly recommend them to future pilgrims to the Holy Land.

The group, my sister, Gloria and I would like to thank you very much for listening and answering to our needs for a better tour guide.

We now plan for our next pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey, to follow the footsteps of Saint Paul. I checked your 2008 catalog but I did not see any mention of these two countries together in one tour.  Please let me know if you have design an schedule for these two countries for next year or the next year 2010 sometime in March or November. Some members of my own group here Southern California have express interest in this particular tour.

We would like also to thank Kristin for her patience, and understanding in working with us to make this pilgrimage a success.

Hope to be touring by booking with your company again...God Bless...

Cora

Hi Rinda,

My father and I had a WONDERFUL pilgrimage.  We were especially blessed by our tour guide in Israel, George Said.  He was knowledgeable and really helped bring the Gospels to life in the Holy Places we visited.

Having a Palestinian Roman Catholic as our tour guide also taught us a lot about the issues facing the Holy Land.  Very informative.  I am sharing what I learned with my friends and family at home, and asking them to keep the Holy Land in their prayers

In Rome, all of our pilgrims in attendance for the Papal Audience were blessed with the privilege of shaking Pope Benedict's hand. That was an amazing experience that none of us expected!

The pilgrimage was the experience of a lifetime and I thank you so much for how smoothly everything went and how well organized things were.

God bless you and 206.

Jennifer
