itinerary:
Oct 27 / Day 1 Depart New York, JFK Airport for Tel Aviv
Begin your spiritual journey as we depart for the overnight flights to Tel Aviv.
Oct 28 / Day 2 arrive Tel Aviv
Arrive Ben Gurion Airport. Meeting and transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv area for overnight.
Oct 29 / Day 3 Jaffa, Caesarea, Haifa, Mt Carmel, Muhraka
Morning visit St Peter’s Church in Jaffa. Drive to Caesarea, once the capital of the Roman Province, and see Roman and Crusader
remains, and the harbour from which St. Paul was taken prisoner to Rome. Drive on to Haifa and have a panoramic view from Mount
Carmel of the port, River Kishon, the Mediterranean and the attractive city. Time for mass at Mt Carmel– Stella Maris Monastery.
Continue to Nazareth for overnight.
Oct 30 / Day 4 Cana, Nazareth, Banias, Golan Heights
Visit the town of Nazareth and see the Church of Annunciation and Mary's well. Mass. Drive to Cana to see the Church of the
Wedding. Head up the Golan Heights to the Springs of Banias, also known as Caesarea Philippi where Peter said "Thou are
Christ". Continue to Nazareth for overnight.
Oct 31/ Day 5 Sea Of Galilee, Boat Ride, Capernaum, Tabgha, Mt Beatitude, Jordan River
Take the boat from Tiberias to Nof Ginosar or v/v. Continue to Capernaum; there you will see an ancient synagogue and St. Peter's
house which was later converted into a church. Also by the shore you will visit Tabgha with the Church of Peter's Primacy and the
ancient mosaic of the Loaves and Fishes. Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount is remembered. Then
to the Jordan River for the traditional baptismal site of Jesus. Finally to your hotel in Nazareth for overnight.
Nov 1 / Day 6 Mt Tabor, Jericho, Old Roman Road, Jerusalem
Leave Tiberias and visit Mt Tabor, site of the Transfiguration and time for mass. Drive to Jericho to see the excavations of the oldest
city in the world. View the Mt of Temptations. Take the old Roman road to Jerusalem, view St George's Monastery on the way.
Proceed to Jerusalem for overnight.
Nov 2 / Day 7 New City, Museum, Model, Ein Karem, Bethlehem
Drive to the New City and, passing the Hebrew University and the Knesset, visit the Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book and
the 2nd Temple Model of Jerusalem. Drive to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist. Continue south to Bethlehem and see the
Church of the Nativity (Mass), and below it the cave-stable of Jesus' birth. Overnight Jerusalem.
Nov 3 / Day 8 Mt Olives, Gethsemane, Kidron Valley
Drive to the Mount of Olives for a wonderful view of Jerusalem. See the Place of Ascension and the Pater Noster Church, and view the
Palm Sunday road. At the foot of the hill see the Garden of Gethsemane (Mass) with its ancient olive trees and the Church of All
Nations. Mass. Drive down the Kidron Valley and see the Pool of Siloam, and St. Peter in Gallicantu built over the palace of the High
Priest Caiaphas. Back to Jerusalem for overnight.
Nov 4 / Day 9 Old City: Temple Area, Church of the Dormition of Mary, Christian Shrines
Early morning walk the Stations of the Cross, come to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where Jesus was crucified and buried, and
then rose again. Mass. Leave the city through the bazaars to the west by Jaffa Gate. Afer breakfast, re-enter the old city to visit the
Wailing (or Western) Wall, and view the Temple Area with the Al-Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. See the Pool of Bethesda
where the angel ruffled the water. Visit the Convent of Zion Sisters and the Upper room (Mt Zion). Back to hotel for overnight.
Nov 5 / Day 10 Bethany, Qumran, Dead Sea
Drive to Bethany, home of Martha, Mary and Lazarus. See the wine-press. Time for mass before continuing to visit Qumran where
the Essene enclave was and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Nov 6 / Day 11 Abu Ghosh, Emmaus
Morning visit Abu Ghosh, Our Lady of the Arch Monastery and mass, Emmaus to see the ruins of the old town. The rest of the
afternoon is free for shopping or exploring. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Nov 7/ Day 12 Tel Aviv - New York JFK
Filled with memories that will last with us for the rest of our lives we transfer to the airport for our departure flight to New York.
